Got this in as I needed something to give all my non-Wifi enabled components internet connections. Works well and haven't had any issues. For the price compared to some of the single use devices I was being pushed to buy in the store, this was far cheaper.

    Just Awful

Well when I first got the product, I would say it took a little while to get it set up in the first place. It took more effort than it should have though. I had to mess around with it to finally figure out the best way to set it up. The worst part about this is that is keeps getting these errors saying the Gateway Ping will not work (you can search this error on Google for Samsung Blu-Ray players). The problem was not with the Blu-Ray player (as my new D-Link extender works great), it was a problem with this Netgear product. It would maintain a connection for about 20 minutes and then just stop working. I would have to go through the entire setup process all over again to get it to work another 20 minutes. Let's just say this didn't last a day in my house.

Easy to install; doesn't work very well

While the initial setup of this extender was super easy, it overrode my actual modem's settings and didn't consistently hold a signal. I couldn't even get my computers to connect to my actual modem when the extender was not picking up the signal. It was very frustrating, and I returned this unit. Best Buy was great about the return.

I purchased this as it was the same manufacture as my gateway. I installed this in an area of my house to help with a dead zone. I was able to get it connected to my gateway with little trouble but after a few days, it would drop the connection and I would have to setup again. I kept moving the extender closer to my gateway and after a day or two, it would drop internet connectivity. It is now in the same room as my gateway and it still drops. My gateway never drops and I have disabled all security to rule those issues out. Do not buy unless you like setting back up every couple of days.

I'm using this for my home, where I have 3-4 inches thick concrete walls. Before I was only able to get 5 bars in the room where I had the router. And everywhere else it could be anywhere from 2 to 1 bars. I used the locator on the router to find the best position for the router and now I'm getting 5 bars everywhere in my house. In some places I'm getting signal where I couldn't even dream about getting wifi before installing this.

Great Extender but DROPS connection DAILY

Works great when it connects to router but it drops the connection for no reason at least once or twice daily. I have to unplug and then wait few seconds before plugging in again to reset. From what I have researched on internet this is very common with this extender and I haven't found a solution yet!!

    Affordable Network Extension

I moved into a new house and was looking for an easy way to connect my wire only blu ray to my network while getting good wireless in the rest of the house. This product fit the bill and while it occasionally drops in and out (it is wireless), it works well for streaming Netflix and for allowing my kids to access the net on their pc's and playstation. Setup was a breeze and took less than 5 minutes.

I purchased three range extenders from Best Buy with the idea of using the best one. This is the only one that would work at all. I have Comcast Broadband with a Motorola Docsis III Cable Modem with Wireless N Router. Pretty simple setup...

This product was very easy to setup, install, and configure. It does a very good job keeping a stable WiFi connection to your router and extends it to places where I can't get a signal to my router. Haven't ran into any problems, great for web browsing and gaming (depending on your internet speeds). I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to expand their WiFi signal.

The product was fairly easy to set up. I was able to do it from my iPad which was nice. That said, it never worked for me. It could see my wireless network and it provided a new network to my wireless devices. I would get a green LED indicating it could see the main network. However, when I would start using the extended network the LED would change to RED indicating it could no longer see the main wireless network. The product did not work in my environment.

    Poor

I've had this thing for about 6 months now. I bought it after reading the mixed reviews and thinking that I'd have a better experience. Well, I haven't. First, the detailed review with advice about how to install it was a lifesaver! You really DO have to go sit at the far reaches outside the range of your router and be hard wired to the range extender to set this thing up. That means a long CAT5 cable for you. Then - at least once a day it loses its settings and I have to turn it off and back on. Just last week it forgot everything and I had to set it up from scratch. Again. It always seems to lose its settings when I'm in a hurry and only have one thing to do, and it happens WAY too often. This range extender has been a royal pain from day 1. It's not a good long-term solution like I was hoping, so I'm planning on hard wiring my house. I didn't want to do it, but it looks like I'll have to, since this range extender has been more trouble than it's worth.

It seems to crash after a week at best, and requires a hard reset. Going to buy an alternative to this thing today and hopefully I won't be throwing money away on the replacement. I've had this for so long that I can't return it, but if its replacement is as worthless as this worthless piece of junk is, I won't hesitate to return it. This thing is trash. Don't waste your time and money on this piece of trash. If I could give it anything less than one star, I would. The only plus to this thing is that the install is simple. But I only know this because I've had to go through it at least 48145612 times.
