Don't Buy it !!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look for an alternative. I am using this to get WiFi signal in my other room which is 12 feet away from my WiFi router. This one doesn't work at all. It It keeps dropping signal at least 5-6 times during 8 hour period. Not at all reliable. I am going to return it to best buy and choose a better one this one is cheap at 70 bucks but its horrible !!!I would say it sucks bad (absorb wifi signal) and it doesn't spit anything(emit Wifi signal)

Works Great.... For 3 months, then u cant return it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for 3 months, then I went on vacation for one week, unplugged the extender, came back a week later, and now the extender will not connect to the wifi for some unknown reason. Contacted NetGear who passed the buck to BestBut who passed the buck to a third party seller (XMD) who refused to do anything because it's been beyond 30 days. Horrible experience and I hope the world knows..

Very disappointed constantly looses connections
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will never purchase another Netgear wifi extender. Our family is so disappointed that it looses connections continually. If you are home all day working on the internet you have to reset it at least a minimum of 10 times a day. Very frustrating and not worth the money at all. Netgear should have recalls for their poor equipment.

Perfect for your trash can.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.P. o. S. Set up a new Smart LCD in the basement to run Netflix and the Wii. I put the booster directly between the TV and the WiFi router, about 20' from each. The WiFi router is on the first floor, and all there is separating the devices is plywood sub-floor and carpet; not hardwood, not ceramic tile, not a Faraday cage. Well the signal to the TV was poor, about 2 bars out of 5. Netflix would run, but every 4-10 minutes, it would pause to re-load content: So Annoying. So going back.

No good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooked this up in the master bedroom to improve signal on the second floor. I had the same signal strength in that beroom as I have with just the router. Returned item.

Not up to par
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for 6 to 9 months. I had problems from the very beginning. Not as easy to install as suggested. Once I finally got it installed and working properly it was great. Then a couple of weeks later it wasn't picking up so well. Ended up having to reset it. I am having to reset it about every 2 to 3 weeks. I am currently in the market for, hopefully, something that works better.

Constant Disconnect Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me several times of trying to connect it myself, but wasn't able to, so had to call Net Gear and had to talk to them for more than an hour. It would have been totally impossible to do it myself...very complicated to install. Also, I have had connection problems ever since it has been installed. I get better connection sometimes by bypassing the extender. I can go from 4 bars, to 0 in seconds. It doesn't really make sense. I am almost tempted to bring it back and try something else.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is junk, according to the box and the instructions this is a dual antennae extnder for N and G but it would only find my G network and when trying to manually set this up for N it quit working. I didn't want to fight with it any longer so I returned it and will find another solution because this was not the answer.

Spent 2+ hours w/ tech support installing product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product come with virtually no instructions apart from plug the product into a power outlet. However it took me more than 2+ hours with their tech support to install and configure the product. Even after the install it it lost its setting and had to be reconfigured twice. There is no tech support number available in the package and I had to use the Internet to find tech support. Avoid this product unless you are a masochist.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is supposed to work out of the box. It doesn't register my wifi when it is sitting next to it. The work around instructions direct you to a website that doesn't exist or can't be accessed. The company wants you to pay more money to tell you how to fix it or spend hours reading through their resource library. Doesn't work as advertized. I don't have time for this. I will be returning this ASAP.

Does not work as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Netgear wireless router in my office and was hoping to extend its range using this. It did not work as advertised. I set it up about 40 ft away from the router and used the ports at the back to plug in a blue ray DVD player and nothing. I have a wireless blue ray DVD player in the bedroom and the signal would not reach. I am going to establish a hard wired system and have given up on going wireless.

Poor Product-Returrned it in frustration
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this product after 3 weeks of constantly resetting this extender with my router. Seems like it happened when I wasn't home and caused my family to wait for my return to re-pair it. I took it back due to the unreliability and ability to find a solution on the mabyfacturer's web page. Even the Netgear firmware does not download like others.

Frequently Lost Connectivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product would easily connect with my existing wireless network but devices connected to it would loose their connections AND the ability to reconnect. The only solution was a power cycle. I ended up installing a second router and configuring it as a wireless access point.

Didn't work well with my setup.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up the wifi extender and it knocked out my router settings. Then I decided that I might solve my coverage problem by moving modem and router to a different location. That did the trick so I returned the extender to Best Buy. The extender might have worked if I had persisted with fixing the settings. No problem with actual product quality.

A totally useless piece of electronic garbage.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to boost the power from by modem to my new Internet TV. Spent 4 hours on my day off (July 4th) working with 2 different techs and it NEVER worked. I will never buy any Netgear equipment. The product didn't work at all and the customer service was not up to the standard of actually getting it to work.
