it seems pretty neat easy setup and good parental controls witch is a major plus for me. Other than initial parent setup I haven't gotten to use it much because I cant pry it away from my 8 year old. so when I asked him what he thought about it before writing this review he said Gravity Falls....something... something... wierdmageddon... something...and so on. I am assuming these are all positive things so he gives it a excellent rating. My only complaint is that the box DOES NOT CONTAIN A CHARGER. This is really important because it is required being an electronic device and all. After searching around thinking I must have set it down unpacking the box I finally see in tiny print 'charger (required) not included" so I'm taking away 1 star for the inconvienience of not being able to use it on Christmas when we got it. but still Gravity Falls ...something...

The 3D effect is pretty nice. Wanted access to some 3DS only games and Ambio support. Slimmed down compared to the DSXL. Should come with a charger, I already had one that worked but can imagine some disappointed people who do not read the fine print.

This is the first 3ds I have ever owned and I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it. It is fun. Con: It did not come with a charger. For the price there definitely should have been a charger.

I used to have the original, small 3DS. The 3D on this one is so much better and the increased size is a much better upgrade than I expected. If these things sound worth it to you, go for it. (An upgrade from the old XL would be more questionable though.)

This is the first handheld gaming device that I have owned since the Gameboy Color. Needless to say, it does not disappoint. The 3D works beautifully even when I am riding a shaky train to work. The new C-stick variant greatly improves my experience with several games. The battery has consistently lasted me six hours per charge. Although considered a mobile gaming device, it is too big to slip into your pocket, so you will need to carry it by other means. Other than that, the new 3ds has made my commutes considerably more enjoyable!

Face tracking works great, the larger screen size is awesome (I had the original 3DS), faster loading times, and I love the new c-stick.

Really love the 3DS. I had previously the 2DS, this is all around better I'd say. The screen is bigger, the joystick feels better, and the 3D feature is pretty cool when you're in the mood for it. Only downside is it does not come with a charger :( can't have it all I guess. Still I am very satisfied with this product!

Faster processing, louder sound, Excellent face tracking 3d, quicker downloads and more. Upgrading to a new 3ds is absolutely worth it.

The features on this device make it well worth its price. i bought Majoras Mask for this system and i love how this new 3ds functions.

I haven't owned/played a Nintendo DS since the original came out! When the new one hit the shelves, I decided to give a shot! And let me say, it's awesome! The 3D feature is great and doesnt give me headaches like most seem to complain about. Now I'm able to play the 3DS games, and I love them! The design is nice and sleek! The only thing I don't like is spending the extra $15 for a charger that didn't come with it. For someone that only owns the first DS, it stinks to have to do that, but oh well, it's worth it!

The 3DS is really easy to use. The kids love the variety of games and the graphics. It it the best handheld gaming experience.

Got one for me and my brother. I love it! Bigger screen and it has the ability to play in 3D way better than the previous one!!! <3

I haven't gotten a new Nintendo platform since my ds, but so far I'm loving the 3ds. effects can be annoying at times but I just turn it off. I love the new stick added it makes it so much easier to play other games. Sucks I didn't get the charger but I knew I wasn't getting it with it so I was prepared. I wouldn't buy it if I had the previous one but if you're going to get a ds I highly recommend this product

I didn't like the 3ds until this new one. This larger screen is great for my eyes and the 3d taking works better than i expected.

Upgraded from my original 3ds. I love the bigger screen and the more stable 3d actually has me playing some games in that mode.

I've wanted a "new" 3DS and I was holding off until this version. It's bigger, which means its nicer to hold while playing and the screen is easy to read. It's processor is supposedly better, I have no comparison since I've never owned a 3DS before. And it plays both DS and 3DS games. The 3D, though stable has it's hiccups depending on lighting conditions and how far you move. I've also seen people with glasses kind of mess up the 3D. Also, if someone looks over your shoulder as you play, it gets funky too. But, after a friend handed me his 3DS, an older version, I was surprised at how much more "stable" the New 3DS is over the old one. If you like the old 3D, then there's an option to turn of "Super Stable 3D" and just an option to turn it off altogether. The additional Z buttons on the back of the New 3DS (N3DS from now on), are a bit weird to reach for. The C-stick (more like nub) is fairly responsive, but if your thumb gets too sweaty, it gets slippery. It's very much like how the old laptops with the mouse nub in the middle work. I'd recommend finding a way to add more friction to the nub, but overall it works really well. I'd prefer another, but smaller, slide pad, but it works for what it is. Overall, the system is great. Even without purchased games, the N3DS is still entertaining simply for the Mii Plaza games that require you to meet with other 3DS-users. Once you get the games, it really opens up and the eShop is always nice if you don't want to haul around a lot of games, since the inboard memory is quite extensive. I can't comment on Amiibo usage right now, because its so hard to find the right ones as well as the games for the 3DS are very limited right now. For an Amiibo collector who eventually wants to make use of those figures, this is an okay buy. It's difficult to take Amiibo places because they are just another thing to transport, which does fly in the face of a portable gaming system, but at least it takes advantage of the growing toy-to-life games.

The New 3DS is much better and faster than the original 3DS. I love playing 3D games on it and feels much better in my hands.

This product is a step up from the first for sure. The 3d is better of course a bigger screen and an all over better system.
