This is my first handheld since the original DS. This is definitely the best handheld out there. It is quick and intuitive to use. It is especially good for someone with large hands. I would shy away from getting this for a young kid for that same reason, but overall everything else is great

Bought this 3DS XL for my son for his birthday and he was so excited when opening it. He absolutely loves his DS and works great and easy for children to learn how to use. I remember having a game boy color as a child and absolutely loved it then very happy my son is enjoying his now!

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He loves it! Nice size screen, 3d, Pokemon. Can't beat it. It doesn't come with a charger. Other than that nothing but positives.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL is the first true handheld gaming system I've owned since the original Gamboy. It is wonderful! The graphics are great, the controller itself fits perfectly in both my hands, and my girlfriends hands(her hands are a lot smaller). Lots of great gaming content. My favorites being Super Mario 3D Land, the remake of Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and more. The only issue I have is if I wanted to switch out for larger capacity SD card. It requires a tiny screwdriver and a lot of patients to achieve. But it's not enough to downgrade my review from being 5 Stars. Overall this 3DS is great!!

I got this system after replacing a red one with a bright spot on the screen. The 3D effects are much improved compared to the previous model. It is also faster than the previous model as well thanks to a faster processor. If you are on the fence about getting one, I recommend getting one.

Love the connectivity with the WiiU. Fits nice in the hands. The Amibo support is great, The reverse compatibility is definitely appreciated, and so are the two nicely sized screens! As usual, Nintendo Doesn't disappoint. The features on this system open it up for any age group.

Grandson loves this gamming system. Nice clear graphics. A little pricey. Only bad thing is that it doesn't come with a charger. You have to buy that separately. For the price you would expect a charger. We would of gave it 5 stars if it had a charger. However, it is a very good product.

This was my thirteenth birthday gift, I absolutely love it! The 3D option is a special touch that I've never seen before in a handheld game. All the games available for this system are a ton of fun. I currently have four and am adding to my collection. I'm very satisfied with this product and I play it as much as I can in my free time. To me it's better than having a large system on the tv such as Xbox, because they come with the same games; but you can carry it around with you. Love it <3

I would highly recommend the new 3dsxl if you are a fan of the old gen. It has a new face tracking 3d system that makes the 3d actually enjoyable because you can move around a bit and still get the full effect. It also loads newer games such as super smash and majora's mask much faster.

My son wanted this for his 11th birthday and his wish came true. He quickly learned how to master it, and the 3d is pretty awesome in my opinion. Amazing how it can take a 3d photo, and bring a scribble to life. Very clever toy. Hard to believe it didn't include the chargèr though.

My step son has one of the first 3DS XL's that was released and it was great. Once I picked up the New 3DS XL it was easy to see that it is for sure faster and I thought overall more crisp than the previous. I can't really say why just that is what my thought was. Great system.

The graphics are amazing, very crisp and clear. The 3D itself is incredible. And the screen size is perfect. I'd definitely recommend this to those looking to buy it

This is a great little handheld. It takes a bit to get familiar with the new gamepad on the right side of the device but it works quite well when you need that extra joystick for games. The 3D works nicely and I really like the ability to turn it off on the fly if my eyes get tired.

I've been playing video games for over 25 years. I had the original Game Boy, but that was the last true handheld system that I owned. I got hooked on console systems and never looked back. Once the original 3DS was released I was intrigued. Fast forward to today and with never being able to fully play Majora's Mask, I figured this is the perfect time to jump back into the handheld environment. The system is fantastic. The new 3D technology is amazing! I tried 3D on store kiosks before and could never get it to work really. Now I'm simply blown away. The new c-stick for camera controls works well too; reminds me of the old laptop "nubs." I can't say enough good things. I've already picked up a couple other games and they don't disappoint. If you're thinking about jumping into the 3DS ecosystem, get the New 3DS. The faster processor will help you stay ahead of the technology and play the upcoming games that will only be available for this version of the system.

This is a great product and a very good buy. Bought it for my 10 year old son who is absolutely in love with it. He loves the new design with the controller buttons which is a little different from his previous one. I would definitely buy this product again and I recommend it.

I'm pushing 30, this one is for me, my daughter has the smaller one. It's a sizeable difference going from a regular DS to a DS XL. TOTALLY recommend the XL over the regular, it's not disgustingly huge but it's pretty big for kid hands, wouldn't recommend for anyone <9y/o or any kid that is "small" for their age. This is the NEW XL and it's great, built in amiiba reader, backwards compatible with DS games, stable 3D. All around very attractive, compact and fun system for all ages. My father even enjoys my DS - you can challenge family members with games that allow it and play co-op or H2H

its a bit of a pain to do and finish the system transfer but after that everything works. Programs load up faster. Downloads are faster. Easy to hold. It takes a while to get used to the new location of start and select and I don't like where the stylus is but all in all I love it.

The New 3DS XL is an amazing handheld. The size makes a ton of difference, no more eyestrain-o-vision. Transferring my data from my old 3DS was no trouble at all, still have all my games saves and settings. This system went beyond my expectations and I'm very satisfied.

I bought this unit for my son's birthday, got it home and gave it to him, we were both excited about the gift, then he looks at me and says "where is the charger...?" I was baffled at that point, cause you see when you buy some thing that needs electricity to work usually there is a charger (at least thats how it worked when I was growing up playing gameboy, sega, ect...). So back to the store and spend more money on this thing. Thanks Nintendo...

The "NEW" Nintendo 3DS XL is even better than the last version. Better graphics. Worth the money. It does not come with a charging cord (separate purchase) and this model is slightly larger than the last version so you will need to purchase a new case. I recommend this product.
