This 3DS model is a huge improvement from the prior version. The C stick is a great addition and the 3D effect is not a problem anymore the new face tracking technology implemented on this handheld makes the 3D effect crystal clear with no distortion when you move your head.

This beautiful machine is everything the 3ds should have originally been. It's great for playing games like smash brothers. The 3d is waaaay easier on the eyes with the new eye tracking system. I would recommend this to anyone who's thinking of getting into the handheld game.

I love to play hidden objects on my new Nintendo 3D S XL. Anyone that loves to play hand held games needs to get this awesome device. It's bigger and much better for older eyes. :) I'm 58 yrs old and I can still keep up with my 9 grandbabies, no matter what they're ages.

The 3ds XL continues Nintendo's dominance in the handheld gaming market by producing its best version yet. Colors, graphics and game play are taken to new heights. Please buy. You will not be disappointed.

This is a great handheld game system. We actually bought two of these. One 14-year-old boy and one for our 13-year-old boy. I love them. The 3-D effect is awesome. Their favorite game so far is supersmash brothers. Would recommend to anyone with children this age.

The New Nintendo 3ds is a major improvement over the past version. I was amazed at how well the 3d works now! I can't wait to try it out with some more powerful games since the hardware has been upgraded also.

Best DS to date, my son loves it and can't put it down. Easy to set parental controls. The only issue I have is Nintendo opted to not give you a new charger in the box, so you will have to buy one seperate. Overall it was worth the upgrade from the previous version.

I heard a new 3DS was coming out and decided to look into getting one, but was disappointed that it was only being released in Japan and Austrailia. I've never owned a 3DS in the past, but have always looked for an excuse to pick one up and play the Pokemon games and relive my childhood. When I happened to stumble across the Nintendo section at my local Best Buy, I found out the New 3DS had indeed released in the US! Out of excitement, I jumped the gun and picked one up for myself and my girlfriend. I picked up Pokemon for myself and the new Animal Crossing for her. Let me start by saying how amazing the screen is. It's crisp and nothing like any handheld I've used before. Also, for Happy Home Design, there are these Amiibo cards that my girlfriend adores having, and with the old 3DS, apparently you need an adapter. But this one comes with an NFC reader on the bottom touchpad! I also remember typing on the 3DS in general was a pain, even with the stylus. Worse than those old touch phones from 8 years ago... But this console did not have that issue! Yes, it is still the same technology, where it senses pressure to read it. But even with my nails or stubby fingers, I'm able to get the letter I want 85-90% of the time. All in all, I would definitely recommend it for anything. The big screen is nice and doesn't strain your eyes and at the end of the day, who doesn't like these cute, fun games?!

This device is a wonderful piece of technology. I come home from school and work each day anticipating playing my 3ds. My favorite spec is the 3d option !!! Its so cool and it makes me feel almost as if I'm traveling INTO THE GAME. A highly recommended buy!!!!

So I bought a New 3DS on launch Day and Im blown away by the overall system performance, The thing is faster at processing and downloading. The Eye tracking 3D works amazingly well and the screen looks twice as good. Games play great and the system itself looks stylish.

I initially thought I would hate the screen, since the density is so low compared to the "norm" that smartphones have introduced. But it really doesn't bother me that much. The new 3ds is fast, fluid, and brings happiness and joy. The circle pad pro is pretty sweet too.

This is a great device and has many improvements over the original 3DS. The new hardware allows this device to run faster, the screens are considerably larger, and the battery life is great. The red color is gorgeous and looks much better than the black version.

The size change, brightness, and increased speed make upgrading to the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL worthwhile.

Definitely fast processor. But my biggest positive review would be nintendos change of online gaming in DS you can play against other new ds owners anywhere in the world. Reminds me of Xbox live but free!

i bought the Nintendo 3ds for my gf as a gift. She loved it! She can play for hours if I let her. Pros- small enough to take anywhere, two screens, can play Netflix, YouTube etc.. Cons- charger is not included with purchase of device, battery life isn't too great

Great graphics, bigger screen and enhanced controls but same overall size as the previous model.

I never purchased the previous models of the 3DS, when Nintendo announced the first 3DS I was skeptical and was not going to trade up from the DS I had. I was never impressed with the "3D" on any 3DS I've had the opportunity to play with, as with *many* people have stated in reviews etc, they turned off the 3D switch and just played it without 3D. the New 3DS XL's 3D system works great!!! Much wider field of view than previous models. Nintendo finally did glasses free 3D right. I'm a Sony guy at heart. Love my PS4/Vita/PSTV setup. (Remote play of almost every PS4 title is superb for me) But I must admit that the new 3DS XL is going to have a lot of usage. Only have 2 games for it now, but i'm sure that will change in the future. The "black" isn't exactly black.. kinda Space gray, but i like it. Fingerprint magnet though.. Pretty sure I will buy one of those stick-on skins for it, maybe the Retro NES skin.

This 3DS-XL is the ultimate portable gaming device. The screen is clear and crisp. The 3D features are awesome. It is easy to hold and manipulate the controls for older and younger players alike. I am incredibly happy with this purchase.

As an owner of both the original 3DS and the 3DS XL, this system is a must have. Comes with built-in technology for use with the Amiibos. Comes with a faster processor that is needed for the upcoming games. All-in-all, it is a must have for any Nintendo fan like me.

The New 3DS's eye tracking tech is a big improvement. Really enhances the experience, and I haven't felt the need to turn off 3D once. 3DS has always had great games. They may not be the most graphically impressive, but they make up for that with excellent gameplay and stories. My only gripe with the new hardware is the glossy plastic on the outside. Makes it quite slick to hold, and the system quickly becomes a fingerprint magnet.
