I was on the fence about buying one but I am very happy I did. I was not a previous 3DS owner but have always wanted one. The 3D effect works great and there are a lot of great Nintendo classic franchises to play on the system.

It has been years since I owned a handheld gaming system. This new 3DS lives up to my high expectations for Nintendo. The screens are incredible and the face tracking enhanced 3D is flawless. Nintendo has never disappointed me.

I bought two. One for a 3year old and one for a 6 year old. Both love it.

This feels sturdier and more responsive than my previous 3DS. The 3D works much better and the battery lasts longer. The rubber nub right analog thing is harder to use than the circle pad but it doesn't impact my gaming much.

I played the original 3DS and couldn't stomach the 3D. This version's 3D is a lot easier to watch and play (at least for me). There's also a wide array of games to play at this point into the life cycle. Highly recommended.

Need to add a charger and stylus. It's is ridiculous that one isn't included. Although the product has improved since the last generation, they lack of a stylus and charger makes it feel like a low end product. I bought this for my niece and thank goodness she still had her old DS Lite or else she would have been crying to me to go back to Best Buy. Thanks Nintendo.

An excellent update to and already fantastic piece of hardware. The upgraded 3D effects work quite well and the two new processor cores (for a combined total of 4) increase load speeds and allow for much improved textures.

I was on the fence about purchasing the new 3ds but after I heard about better load times and a few exclusive games I figured why not. I gave my Old 3ds to my son (do not trade yours in) and picked this up. Initially all is the same but, it doesn't come with a charger. That's the only negative. All else is positive. Way better load time, so games like Monster Hunter become way more tolerable. Xenoblade has been great as well although a slight graphics scaleback. The biggest difference is in the smart 3D tech. It is a lot more tolerable to use the 3D feature now that it actually tracks your vision. Before i would never use my 3d on the old 3ds because it was more of a hassle. Now I use it way more often and in games like Monster Hunter it looks incredible.

Owner of an original 3ds and the new nintendo 3ds xl is a great upgrade. Much better 3d (internal camera tracks eye movemengs), sound, and battery. Additionally, games and OS run smoother and Amiibo support is a big plus.

My 3DS XL was having a lot of problems so I figured to pick up the New 3DS XL. The face tracking 3D is amazing! I always play with the 3D feature on. Worth the upgrade

The Nintendo 3DS XL was a Christmas gift to my 14 year old son. Since receiving this gift he prefers it over the Playstation 4. What he enjoys most is that the game is portable and he can take it anywhere he goes.

My son bought this on release day and said it fixed all the complaints he had with the old one. 3D is markedly improved. Battery life is better and screens are no longer marred by the case. He has had great fun with it.

I own a Nintendo DS from 2009 and was curious how the new 3DS XL would stack up and I wasn't disappointed. The graphics on the games are amazing. The controls make the action smooth and quick. I highly recommend

I was in the market for a handheld system, I tried a Vita, and it wasn't really for me. This system really fit all my needs, and the 3D was a plus. I do wish I had waited though, because right after I purchased this, they announced the Pokemon edition. Which is smaller and would have been more comfortable in my pocket. Will likely pick one up for my son.

The system itself on the inside is a pretty blue. The outside part where the galaxy part shows looks a little cheap but it isn't horrible. The only negative thing is paying the full price and not getting a charger for it. So if you want this as your first 3ds then I would recommend purchasing another one that comes with a charger.

I purchased this for my nephew for Christmas. He said it was the BEST gift ever! He was happy so I was happy. The graphics are nice. I like that some of the old games for the DS can be played on the new system.

bought this to upgrade from my old 3ds xl. with this new one, i can now play with the 3d on without getting headaches. only complaint is that because it's glossy, its a finger-print magnet not like the old 3ds xl.

This is the first handheld I have had since a Gameboy pocket and I am really impressed. The 3D effect, which I thought would be gimmicky, really makes the visuals pop. Plus I can play Majora's Mask, which is awesome.

I was trying to decide between this or the Nintendo Switch for my almost 5 year old boy. I didn't want to wait for Nintendo to figure out how to meet the demand and actually start sending more than 1 a week to the store. Glad I chose this for him. It's smaller for his hands and the graphics are good enough. The games are more appropriate for his age and simpler. The one thing that is really irritating is Nintendo doesn't include a wall charger. What kind of nonsense is that? I have never bought a rechargeable electronic device that didn't include its own charger. The Best Buy staff never bothered to mention I needed one either. Sure would have been nice to know before my boy opened up an almost dears Nintendo. I purchased one on Amazon for $6
