The system itself is nicely packaged. I have some trouble using the stylus and trigger buttons. The 3d ranges from pretty cool to pretty annoying depending on how you hold it and how often your head moves. WiFi and online features are nice, tho most anything cool will cost money. Once I get some good games, I could see it being a fun system.

The "New" 3DS XL feels faster than the previous iterations of the hardware. The new C-Stick (nub) and Z-Buttons functions exactly as a Circle Pad Pro would have worked for the older 3DS. This didn't seem to be confirmed anywhere from my online research so I thought I'd mention it. So any game that used the Circle Pad Pro previously will instantly recognize the new C-Stick (after enabling it in-game as I had to do with Kingdom Hearts 3D). I haven't tested amiibo functions but I'll assume they'll work as intended. The Super-Stable 3D function works much better than I expected; just be careful when using the 3D in the dark as it may start having trouble finding your face. If it is having trouble, a little red light appears next to the front facing camera. Finally, I'm glad I'm still able to play all my DS and DSiWare titles. (I've got quite a backlog to work through.) The only problem I have with the system is that it doesn't feel as necessary to get if you are a current 3DS XL user (as I was) unless you were looking for more functionality or want "New" 3DS exclusive software like Xenoblade. And that name.... It sucks. Seriously. 3DS+ would have been a much less confusing name than "New" 3DS. Simpler and gets the point across.

The new colors and designed bring the new DS to a new level. The kids love the colors and the technology of the 3d. I recommend this anyone that have kids that like to be different.

I've owned an original 3DS XL for several years, and I was mostly pleased. However, the performance was a bit sluggish and the 3D was more or less unusable because if I tilted the device much at all, the screen lost it's 3D effect and really "messed" with my eyes. The new 3DS tracks your eyes in real-time and adjusts the 3D effect to essentially cancel out tilting. It works remarkably well. I'm now playing all my games in 3D mode. Performance got a minor boost as well. Screen resolution and battery life were not improved. Those items remain as my only annoyances about the 3DS XL product family. I rated it 5 stars because I bought it purely for the improved 3D effect, and it delivered on that... big-time!

Awesome system for everyone. New to the 3ds family or just upgrading from the other 3ds this is a significant upgrade to the hardware. Lots of games make great use of the C-Stick like Monster Hunter etc.

I have a GameBoy Advance and a DSi and thought they were the best for gaming; I recently bought a Nintendo 3DS and I really enjoyed the color, gameplay, and design; hoping to get more games soon for it!

I bought this new 3ds two month ago, works perfectly. And the the feeling when you play it and the speed does improve a lot!!! Btw, maybe Nintendo will have more New 3DS only game, it worth the price!!!

I love the fact that it has eye following technology so that the 3d effects stay in your field of vision. It's nice to have the extra bumper buttons and the the touch sensitive camera control as well.

i went to meijer's to buy the 3ds xl for our daughter as a Christmas gift. but their lines was literally 1/8 mile long - from the front of the store to the back of it. So i took the ad to best buy, store manager Bill gladly matched the meijer's price, and even instructed his associate to give me additional $25.00 off, due to miscommunication from his assistant manager Phil who mistakenly told me the reward percentage was 10% (by using my best buy credit card- 10% only applies to first time card users) instead of 5% from my previous black Friday's nearly $600.00 purchase. My 21-year old who is going to graduate from college was a huge fan of nintendo games since she was little. She enjoyed so much, i then went back to the store a week later, bought another one for her older sister (turned 24 today :0) who also was a crazy fan. They both thoroughly enjoyed playing the games during Christmas break, and to add icy on the cake, Mr Bill "re-matched" Meijer's sale's price for my 2nd purchase, even though the ad. was 2 weeks old by then. we have since purchased/ordered several electronic products from the store, most of them are over $100.00 each. The store seems always has staff on the floor to help the customers, and if you do not see one on the area you are interested in, someone else would be able to "radio/page" that person immediately. You don't see this kind of service very much anymore in any stores nowadays. Best Buy definitely knows how to stay above the competition. Which showed a few years ago, they "ate/swallowed" its nearby competitor - Circuit City. Ironically that was where we bought ALL of the previous- generation Nintendo game consoles.

The New 3DS XL is a great upgrade from the original. The look and feel of the new version are a lot better and the Head Tracking 3D works great. Sell your old 3DS XL and pick up one of the new ones.

Just getting in to the 3ds and thought I would grab this one for the bigger screen and extra buttons. I dropped it and besides a little scratch on the side nothing was damaged.

This is the best portable game system I have ever had. The glasses free 3D, whichI thought would be a gimmick at first, turned out to be an incredible feature that gives games much need depth!

Our daughter has been asking for this DS and we go it for her birthday and she was beyond pleased. She has had all the older versions of the DS and this is by far her favorite.

Since this happened to be my first 3DS, I wasn't given a charger for the console. That frustrated me with Nintendo expecting me to have a charger from a previous DS. Otherwise, I really like the console and how it feels.

The game system is great. Big screens; the 3D is cool (and adjustable); speakers are what you would expect; but be warned, the 3ds xl requires a proprietary power cord that does not come with the console.

Adding trigger buttons and a scanner under the touch screen for amiibos, this new 3DS is also holding a faster processor. Truly the next step in the 3DS family. Well more worth it than the normal XL!

I haven't played myself as it was a bday gift for my son. He enjoys it and likes the big screen. His brother has an older model with a smaller screen. Bigger monitor = not as compact to carry around. Like that other ds charger works for this since it doesn't come with a charger. Would've given 5 stars if it came with a charger.

The graphics are great and I love that you can change it from 3D to regular 2D. Great portable system.

I bought this for my son for his 6th birthday, hoping it would make h want to play on my phone less, and now I want to play his NDSxl! The 3 D option is amazing and makes the games so much better!
