Nice improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sold my regular 3ds XL to buy the new 3ds XL, and I'd say it wasn't a bad choice. The small c-stick is very useful for games such as monster hunter, and zelda, also love that the 3d uses the camera to adjust the angle of way you're looking at the screen, making it easier on the eyes. Its battery life lasts an hour or two longer then the old one, and its a bit faster when downloading games. Would have got 5 stars if it came with a charger though, that's the only dissapointment I've had so far.

Super Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My new Nintendo - New 3DS XL in Red is absolutely awesome. This was a hard product to find. That's the reason I turned to Best Buy to find it. As always, Best Buy had the product I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. The new XL screen is great and the 3D effects are fantastic. Overall it is a great product.

Perfect in every way
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been holding out on getting a 3DS XL for some time now, and when they announced the NEW 3DS months ago, I knew I had to hold out a little longer. I've been using a launch "normal" sized 3DS so the upgrade is most definitely worth it. For those who have a fairly new 3DS a new purchase really depends on how much you play. Battery life is solid, the c stick (or nub) has been great for games like Majoras Mask (although I have yet to have another game to utilize it) and the 3D is much improved. Makes some old games feel fresh again. So the improvements are great. The only decision I would state as a con is the location of the game cartridge slot, which is on the bottom left of the portable. I have big hands so they tend to wrap around the system, so I need to be a little more conscience of how firm my hands are at the bottom. It's only happened once, but I accidentally ejected the game cartridge mid play session. Other than that, I've been playing the system more than ever before. One of the most solid lineups of games available for any system is on the 3DS!

The New 3DS XL is AMAZING. :)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have pretty much always purchased just the regular versions of Nintendo's handhelds, but after buying the New 3DS XL, now I wish I had purchased bigger versions of everything. Even with the difference in size, it still fits in my purse, and the display on it is just incredible. It's seriously like playing my games again for the first time, between playing them on the original 3DS and this one. It also seems like the graphic quality is better, but I'm not an expert on the specs of the new one. Just everything is easier to see and the graphics seem smoother on here. I got the New 3DS in red, which is also the first time I've ever gotten any handheld in anything other than black, and I gotta say.. I love it! It's so beautiful and shiny; the color is just perfect. Additionally, I got a case that fits the New 3DS, and holds eight games, at the same time that I purchased the console. Everything just works amazingly, and it's now my favorite console by a long shot. I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone that's a fan of the Nintendo handhelds. :)

Worthy upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having owned the first gen 3DS, I can say that you definitely want to buy the new XL version. The 3D is much improved and doesn't cause nearly as much stress on your eyes. The bigger screen and improved interface are just icing on the cake!

Newer in the case is better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the new places of certain things; the power button, the game slot, the volume.. much more user friendly. OH! and the new C stick was a very nice edition! My husband says the 3D is even better on this one.. I hate 3D though.. so I never use it! But to be honest.. the reason I bought this newer console is because of the galaxy cover. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. It is beyond gorgeous... I love it. What a good upgrade Nintendo! My only complaint (not even big enough to take away a star) is that it didn't come with a power cord.. but seriously... why not put in a power cord... So either keep your old one, or buy one. You can get them decently cheap.

Big step up from original 3ds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new 3ds. It is a big step up from the original and I can actually use the 3d feature all the time without straining my eyes. I really like the xL size as well. The data transfer process wasn't as easy as it should have been between the old device and this one, but the system itself is great!

Amazing Gaming System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The New 3DS system is absolutely amazing. The design itself is slick and new. It has good graphics as well as a good game lineup. The 3D feature has definitely improved. Another thing I enjoy about it is the amiibo compatibility. It makes gaming much enjoyable by using your little buddies in action.

Great system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i went from the original 3ds to this one and here i have to say i like the change. the 3d is much better, the screen is bigger and the battery life is much better. my qualms are the lack of power cord, the new c stick is way to stiff for my liking, when i move a analogue stick, i expect the stick to move in that direction to a degree. this ones movement is practically unnoticeable. another thing is i still havent figured out where the microsd card is, or if you can even access it.

Next Gen 3DS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really can't say enough of how much of an upgrade this is from the other DS machines and I have all of them from the original to the DSi to the 3DS, to the XL models to the 2DS and now the NEW Nintendo 3ds, not sure why they didn't call this 3DS Platinum or something more creative because people ask for the new 3DS and unless the person knows what they are talking about you just get a new 3DS but not the NEW Nintendo 3DS. Better 3D something nintendo has been chasing since the virtual boy this really hits the mark. The face tracking makes the 3D stay with you and not go in and out like the current versions. I haven't really used the new joystick on the right hand side yet, but everything about this version is an upgrade and you are going to want to break out old games like Pilot Wings and Starfox to really see how much better the 3D truly is. I bought two one to beat on and one to keep as a collectable. Use best buy.com to get the right color because they are selling out fast in store.

Great improvements from first gen.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to get a new system because, long story short, my first one bounced into two pieces. It was on special for $175 at the time, so I figured this vs. $170 for a refurbed system from Nintendo was a great deal. As for the system itself, it's the same size as my old XL, but has bigger screens, and looks quite nice overall. I like that they moved the start, select, and power buttons, as I had once or twice hit the power button instead of start while playing games. It's a comfortable fit, and the design changes Nintendo made are smart ones. The system also runs a little faster and smoother than my first one, so that's a bonus.

The 3DS I was waiting for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned all the Nintendo Gameboy variants... until the 3DS arrived. I am a sucker for 3D and a huge fan of Nintendo, but I am glad I waited for the New Nintendo 3DS XL. The 3D effect is very good, the face tracking works very well and the size of the handheld is just right.

Best Handheld for Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new 3DSXL is the best portable gaming hardware out there. It really improves from the 3DS, which I originally was playing. The 3D really works here. This was the 3DS that should have first been built. I highly recommend, especially if you travel and want to kill time on a plane.

Great portable gaming system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a great shiny red design with double the processing power. The New Nintendo 3ds XL is backward compatible to all existing 3ds titles, and new exclusive titles in the near future will take advantage of the New Nintendo 3ds XL's processing powers for better graphics and speed.

The 3DS Final Form
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent design, ( Finally ). The build is solid Nintendo, the new layout is great, all the little things that it should have been from the beginning. The lack of a charger is a cost cutting measure, but it does hurt new sales that don't already have one. Hopefully this is the last iteration before something completely new, because Nintendo is very close to becoming Apple with a barely changed device every year to prompt an "upgrade".

This is great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's new, it's red, its faster! This thing is much larger than my old 3DS. It also loads things much faster as well. I still don't really see anything in 3D but I don't hold that against the unit itself because of it being a personal problem, so I leave the 3D turned off.

Amazing Upgrade to the "Old" 3DS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Faster, more responsive, and with a 3D system that actually works, this is seriously what the 3DS should have been at the very beginning. The extended battery life versus the older 3DS cannot be understated as well, giving an additional 1 to 2 hours (based on my usage).

Nice system, bit uncomfortable after extended use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightweight, feels solid, big bright screens, and very cool 3D effect. Unfortunately, no game included. Also, the larger size lends itself to some cramped hands after extended gaming sessions, so take frequent breaks. Probably not a worthwhile upgrade from earlier models unless you absolutely need the XL screen, but a good choice for a first 3DS. Remember that it does NOT include the charging adapter, so you'll need to buy one.

Great first 3DS, good upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.+ Better screen quality + The new nub is great for camera control + The new 3D tracking on the 3ds makes gaming with the 3D slider on during a car trip a viable option + The battery life is slight better than the original 3DS and XL +The extra horsepower of the New 3ds improves load times and navigation speed - Transferring data from your old 3ds to this one is a HUGE hassle. Even if you don't spend much time in the e-shop you'll need to spend up to an hour going through the transfer process - The switch from SD cards on previous 3DS iterations to Micro sd increases the cost - No adapter is included with the system - Removing the back panel to remove the micro sd card is a one-time annoyance Overall, the system might not be worth the upgrade to owners of previous versions of the console, but a highly recommended fresh start for anyone curious about the system who haven't taken the plunge yet.

My first handheld since Gameboy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My niece and nephew have earlier models and to compare The New 3DS is durable and well built. The dual screens are bright and give nice color. Old and new games look great. The 3D effects I have experienced are very cool. For a handheld the camera is not terrible either. I would recommend this for anyone who has an interest in handheld gaming. I'm a 29-year-old with a busy life and love this handheld. I have researched the latest and best and personally viewed competing handhelds and chose Nintendo's latest. I don't hav much time to play, but when I do I have no worries immersing myself in classic titles and being able to save real time game data, which is my favorite attribute of the New 3DS. This really gives a nostalgic feeling when being able to download affordable games quickly from my childhood. If anyone was in the market for a handheld I would recommend the New 3DS.
