Good enough, for who it’s for. The games are pricey

This is one of the best versions of the nintendo 3ds hardware yet. All 3ds games are playable but without the 3d feature. But let’s be honest, people rarely used the 3d feature in the first place.

Purchased for my son's birthday, he absolutley loves it! He enjoys playing on his 2DS just as much as he does on his other devices. Love all the other features included on this portable device.

Good quality and additional features not expected.

Bought this Nintendo 2DS XL as a birthday present and he loved it! Good size screens for better play and loved that it is compatible with the 3ds games. The color of the console is also approved.

The fact that it is backwards compatible with 3DS games, is what got me to pick this console. I dont like the 3D it hurts my eyes, paying less for something that does the same minus the 3D i love it

A much better option for retro games than the NES and SNES classics because is it readily available, it is portable and gives access to a bigger catalogue of retro games (including Sega classics).

Purchased for my six year old and she loves it. Such an improvement over the new 3DS that we have. Why reading this review? Buy this device.

Purchased for my nephew as a Christmas present. He really liked it. He said it worked great and never stops playing it. I think I've created a monster. Lol

Great value for the price. We got the DS2 for our sons 5th birthday present and he loves it. The best part is that it’s compact and can go in the car for over the road entertainment.

If you have no interest in playing games in 3D, this is a great option. The form factor of the new 2DS XL is very nice: very light, buttons are well placed, and easy access to the game and SD card (all improvements over the new 3DS). The color scheme is very attractive as well.

I have never owned any ds console except this one. It is very nice screen isn't hd like most other devices but it gets the job done. Over all nice little package with a nice library of games.

Haven’t own a portable game system in years since the game boy advanced sp came out. It’s small enough to fit in a purse but big enough to see what’s going on in the gaming screen

I upgraded from a 3ds xl and this is night and day compared to that. The buttons feel much better, the screen is better and the over weight in you hand makes this really worth the money.

I had the 2ds which was a cheap way into the 3ds ecosystem. The 2dS XL is comfortable to hold and offers a much bigger screen. Good times.

My son loves it, he lost his Nintendo 3ds xl a year ago... so when the 2dsxl came out I got him this one. Which is cheaper and you get all fun of all the 3ds games so it was a win win..

It can read/play Nintendo DS games. (So if you have a big library of DS games it would be great for you.) Read that it has the same processing power as the New Nintendo 3DS. Other than the hinge being a little loose on mine, I would recommend it. (Did a little research, and it looks like I'm not the only one with the loose hinge problem.)

Can’t stress enough how much I love this device, even more than the 3DS. Nice quality design, great screens, and all without the mixed quality of 3D. Highly recommended.
