I purchased this almost a year ago and must admit that my son still plays with it even though he has the Nintendo Switch.

This product is a low quality experience for gamers. It's not fast enough, it lags in some instances, it won't produce a delighted result or amaze the regular user. Instead, you'll have strained eyes, headache and possibly dizziness after one hour using such a small screen that flickers about at a rate that tires easily our optical nerve. 3 stars for the portability, price and variability of games.

Had the 2DS and this one has better options. Bigger screen, and the Amibo option looks cool - haven't tried it yet.

If you're looking to get a Nintendo 3DS then this might be the right system for you. The New 2DS XL has all of the hardware specs are the New Nintendo 3DS XL (only minus the 3DS effect slider), at 50 dollars less.

The Nintendo 2DS XL is the perfect DS. It looses the, mostly unused, 3D feature and goes for a more natural approach. It has all the high end kinky of the 3DS XL but thinner, lighter, and overall better looking.

I bought this because I didn't want to shell out the extra money for a 3DS XL because I would never use the 3D function (it hurts my eyes). I'm very pleased with this, it plays all the 3DS games and displays them every bit as beautifully as the more expensive 3DS XL!

I love this system. It’s sleek and streamlined, feels like something apple would make. I was never a fan of the 3D function, so this is perfect for me. Only qualm is the stylus is smaller than previous models. Definately worth the price!

I've been trying to acquire a portable nintendo device. 2DS was too small for me, but this is just fine. Love how it feels in the hands, and the price is just right. I highly recommend it to people who don't like the 3D effect, but want a large display.

I had a Nintendo DSi and was enjoying it. I was not interested in having 3d games and did not like how the original 2ds looked so I held off upgrading. Once I found this and that it played the 3ds games, I was excited to upgrade to this.

I was really disappointed in how cheap flimsy feeling the 2dsxl was.Pay extra 50 get 3dsxl.

I got this as a gift for Mother's Day and have been surprised how much I am enjoying it.

Perfect size for bringing it along on road trips. Convenient to handle for kids.
