I bought this for my gamer wife so that I could get my Switch back. Seriously. The value here is great and for all she wants to play, my Switch was overkill. Kudos Nintendo.

For those of you purchasing a DS for the first time, I highly recommend this as your go to. But, if you already have a 3DS don't bother as it doesn't offer any new functionality.

The top screen portion of the 3ds feels very flimsy almost like it can fall off or not very well made. With that out of the way I'd say this is a great option if you want to play 3ds games like Pokémon and Metroid without the 3D. Everything else is the same with this handheld though so you are good if you get this version.

A really great handheld. My only complaint is the odd placement of the speakers and that they aren't that great. All in all exactly what I hoped the 3DS would be.

If you don't have a 3ds it's a great entry point. Only a handful of games require 3d in my opinion. Build quality quite high.

This is Nintendo's biggest selling and if are reading this, you are going to buy one. Nintendo didn't mess this up at all!!! Just buy it, it is a great gaming system.

So glad they came to make this one great product. Great with NFC functionality having a cover for the cartridge also a plus

I upgraded to this one since it was cheaper than the 3DS and it was definitely a great choice. Easy to use and comes with a lot of extras just in the device itself

I think I am on my 3rd DS and continue to like the upgrades and gaming on the device. Great for most age groups and small enough to pack and take along.

Hours of fun. Not 3d but I found that I didnt really need the 3d on the 3ds. With the 2d xl i got to enjoy the same games with a larger screen.

I do wish my local Best Buy would get accessories especially designed for the New Nintendo 2DS XL. I know there out there. The New Nintendo 2DS XL comes with 4GB micro SDHC memory card... yet in the user manual it says nothing about how to allow for more memory. The library of games is way to big for 4GB.

First portable I've owned in years. I didn't want to pay for 3D when I'd just turn it off so having that gone it's great

I absolutely LOVE this handheld!! I never picked up a 3ds because of the price, & I mainly game on Xbox One, but I Am SO happy I picked this up!! Buy this NOW!!

Perfect fit for my hands. They are average size I'd say. Sturdy enough. Just be careful with opening and closing the screen and you should be fine.

The 2ds is pretty fun. My young sister and nephew really love playing the old school games on it (Mario kart, Zelda, Pokémon). It’s nice for car rides and can keep the kids occupied for awhile. Cons: sound quality is pretty choppy. Stylus is very small and comes with not extras

I got this because some games were slow on my 3ds and I wanted to play SNES on it. It would be good if more SNES games came out for it though.

Nice handheld system, lightweight easy to hold. Fun to play. AR games are cool.

Another great piece of work from nintendo. I actually got one unlike the others that sold out last holiday lol

I got this after having my Old-Man Original 3DS from launch and it was such a massive improvement that I constantly gush to anyone willing to listen.

I bought the 2DS XL because it was better than the 3DS XL... much more functional than the give Gimmicky 3DS XL. Would definitely buy it again!
