Exelent reminded me of my childhood games in my super nintendo

My kids love playing Super Mario and they really like the Switch

Mario is always fun and old school side-scrolling Mario is great! The game looks great and even comes with the Luigi part of the game (I have not played it though). The fact is the game should not be $60. It was released on the Wii U and really has nothing new. I would wait until it goes on sale.

Following in the recent trend of porting excellent Wii U games to the Switch comes New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Considering most people never played this version, skipping the Wii U altogether, this is a fresh game to them. If, however, you were one of the few who owned a Wii U, you've probably already played this game. The original "New" Super Mario Bros. was released on the portable Nintendo 3DS in 2006. It was then updated for the Wii in 2009, and updated gain for the Wii U in 2012. This is an update of the 2012 release with a few twists. While this is essentially the same game as the Wii U version, there are a few new features to make it feel fresh-even. It's worth playing even if you've played the Wii U version. The "story" is per usual--Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and Mario and company set off to rescue her. It also includes the New Super Luigi U expansion. In this mode, you have 100 seconds to finish every level as Luigi. He jumps higher, but is a bit more floaty. It's just enough of a change to make the levels more difficult. So whats new in the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe? Two new characters are playable: Toadette and Nabbit. Toadette is like an easy mode to the game, while Nabbit is a super-easy mode. Unique to Toadette is the Super Crown power-up that turns her into Peachette, giving her a double jump and Peach's floating abilities. Additionally, all 1-Up Mushroom blocks she hits now give 3-Up Moons. She is easier to control. She stops sooner than Mario and Luigi, making her less likely to fall into pits. She doesn't slip on ice. Swimming is also much easier. She gets an additional 100 seconds on Luigi U levels. Nabbit, historically a minor villain in the series, is now a playable character. He does not pick up any power-ups, but can still open the containers. He is not damaged by any enemies on-screen. However, he cannot ride Yoshi but instead bounces off of him. Like Toadette, he is less slippery and moves like she does on land, ice, and in water. Other updates: Additionally, the game now runs at 1080p, (up from 720p in the prior game) Nintendo has added some secret levels that were not available in the original game. While all of these things are good, we've been through this story, and the same power-ups, for a very long time. (2006!!) If you've played the prior games, you will notice the few changes and updates. But it's time for something more fresh from the New Super Mario Bros. I would have preferred an entirely new game instead of an update to the Wii U version.

We loved this game when it was first released on the Wii U console and it's even better on the Switch. The whole family plays this game together and it can be quite chaotic at times but when you beat a level it's very satisfying. All around it's a fantastic game, and you will definitely enjoy it.

If you missed this on the wii u you need this for the switch, it also has all the dlc from the original

I missed this on the Wii u and its fun but the $59 price tag is too high. It hasn't aged well because of the long load times and repetitive levels, but if you like classic Mario you'll like this game.
