New super mario bros u dx is a very good side scrolling platform game, however, there are better.it features an array of worlds, various power ups and riding yoshi in certain levels. the standard super mario bros formula. while the formula does work, it feels like the same 2d mario game that you played either from the last generation or from your youth. while the method is simple, accessible and user friendly, there is nothing exciting or innovative that makes it stand out. it feels as if nintendo did not take any risks and only relied on a traditional approach with a track record of success. i would only recommend this to hardcore mario fans that missed out on the wii u. otherwise, if you want a 2d platform game for the switch, i recommend donkey kong country tropical freeze, rayman legends, or an indie title that is probably cheaper instead. furthermore, if you want a mario game but your budget only allows one, get mario odyssey.

So much fun in one game!! The combination of both Wii U games for switch was a great idea! Hope they continue to do ports from the Wii U and remasters too!

Nothing against Best Buy here, but the game is not what I was hoping. It is very similar to other recent Mario games, but there are a few changes. For me though, and I only play casually, I was somewhat disappointed. It just felt like a remake of previous versions with a new paint job. I will still definitely play it casually, but it isn't something I want to rush home to get to.

The nostalgia of the SNES days with the graphics of today. My daughter is only 5 but loves her some Mario. It's enjoyable for everyone in our household.
