It's a Mario game, what do you expect. I wouldn't say it's an easy game. Just started playing and the levels can be a bit challenging since all levels are time based. Really looking forward to the couch co-op mode. That might be a bit more exciting.

Mario fans, whether they are rookies or veterans, should immediately get this game for the Switch, especially if they have not played any previous versions (namely New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, which were on the Wii-U). The game is loaded with levels and challenges. You will be playing for a while. The graphics are so crisp and clean. The controls are tight. This is a quality Nintendo game and should be on all Switch players' shelves.

Let's be real, this is a fun game in small bursts. I don't know how someone can play this for hours on end. A lot of levels are the same. Mario Wonder is the better game, but this game is still good and looks pretty good too. Very easy to pick up and play for an hour or so when needing a Mario fix.

This game is awesome, our family plays together all the time. We take it with us on road trips and camping.

Two new characters come alongside this port of the Wii U version. Great to see some beloved classics making it to the Nintendo Switch with a little extra!

From a gamer’s standpoint, it’s great, traditional Mario. It’s easy to follow for those not familiar with the franchise. Great fun for all ages.

My 3yr old son loves this and so do i. Great graphics, Easy to play and such a classic. Definitely one of the few mario games to own on the switch.

Brings back memories from the Nintendo DS. Just like the original Mario but better!!!!! So much fun to play!!!

This game is great. Graphics are good and the levels are hard enough that it’s a challenge but you won’t do the controller throw from frustration.

Fun game, my son and I enjoy playing it! Nice graphics, fun characters and abilities, nice maps.

A super fun game for a group of friends to play!! You can choose variety of modes. The characters are cutely designed even the enemies!! Couple main characters have bonus features which can help those inexperienced players. Life seems to be unlimited with a start of 5 for each character. Tutorial videos will be available after the completion of levels to show you some efficient methods! All in all, my friends and I we played this game over this Christmas break and we absolutely love it!

Cute and reminds of me old school Mario, but I swear this version is harder than the ones I've played in the past? Or maybe my skills just are not very good... but either way, it's a fun game! If you can get past the levels before it resets you.

Very fun game!! Has many levels. And easy to play. Can change the level of difficulty as well which makes it more fun.

I loved this game on the WiiU and played it for many hours. I was torn on buying it again, but overall like the new additions. The best part is it’s now portable. Having just picked it up, I’ve only played the first land and it’s definitely strange getting used to the Joy cons. Whether or not to get it depends on your love of Mario 2D games. I’m looking forward to the new levels and changes. I think they could have done more, like making use of Amiibo (seems like Nintendo gave up on this kind of unique aspect to their gaming). Most games either don’t make use of them which is a shame. I liked using all the Zelda Amiibo and it was a perfect use of them. Gave you a nice bonus each day. Now they are just kind of one and done and that’s it. This game could have made good use of them. Overall MARIO plays well on the switch. For Mario fans only! It was a great game on the Wii U. It’s a good game on the switch.

Fun game with tons of levels and fun minigames to play. Supports 3-4 players as well. The game is easy too
