We got these because we were out of the country for a month. I was able to manage everything through my phone. You're able to go live as well as to set a time to record. It works when it's raining. All you need is wi-fi. It was frustrating connecting them because the light would not turn blue. Took me like 2 hours.

I am pleased with this purchased. I can say that the camera's are very sensitive meaning it records the bugs at night flying around. I'm not complaining at all about it I just am shocked and happy. Another thing to its that the camera's can be installed as a DIY project that's how easy user friendly it is.

This is the 1st set of camara's we got for our home and they work good. The quality of the picture is clear and they have handled all the weather so far.

Its a good product if your ok with 720 resolution the only downside is that it don't have instructions to undestand the program on the dvr. Other than that i love it.

This DVR is 1980s technology at best. It is convoluted and inconsistent with basic functions. You are constantly logging in and logging out. The video format is archaic and needs to be converted after downloading. Forget using this system with anything MAC you will become so frustrated with the many pit-falls that you will encounter. I honestly believe settings have been purposely set to cause confusion. I think this is a lame ploy to get you to purchase or hire their contractors and servicing at additional cost. This is a dead product that will soon be replaced with the many quality products that are now available. They feature the "night-vision" capabilities of this product, however, the cameras work better during the day than they do at night. You must use the camera outside where it is exposed to the elements and or any of influence. Do not shoot through a widow or a piece of glass. All you get is a pretty closeup of the window with the sparkly lights that controls the night vision. There are NO manual settings so these cameras are useless shooting through glass.

Bought the night owl to replace a different brand of security dvr that only lasted a year and then broke. Also bought the best buy warranty with this one.

Made with good materials - doesn't feel cheap. Only complaint would be when recording at night any amount of light can make it hard to see the footage.

Since I have owned the Night Owl Security Cameras I have been secured. I am always able to check my home inside and out. I feel safe at all times. I've never experienced any problems with this system and I'm very happy that I invested in this system .

The camera system is great but the app which allows you to view the camera system is terrible. I still have not been able to use the app and so many others users have the same issue. Also the manuals is not very helpful at all. If you are good with gadgets you can figure most of it out. Currently I am having problems with the night vision not working and cant find support anywhere for it.
