Great addition

The only thing I need to keep in mind is that it's not as great at close ups as my standard lens, but it does capture incredible detail at a distance. Very happy with this purchase.

Not good for indoor & handy use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like to compare my recent purchases of 18-300mm AF-S VR lens with 55-300mm AF-S VRII lens. The former is lighter in weight, but lighter in sharpness of image as well. You need tripod to take a very steady clear pics as it won't go well when handled with hand. The color of the image is visually appealing with natural lights, but dramatically dull with indoors & dim. On the other hand 55-300mm lens gave me sharp & intense colored images almost all the time.
