This lens is the best bang for your buck! It is such an upgrade from the "kit lens" and will give you a beautiful bokeh (creamy background). It's such a great price compared to other lenses.

This is a no-brainer purchase for any DX format SLR user! The lens is very high quality and very much the same as the other "G" lenses in the Nikon line up. This lens will give the crop sensor user, DX, an effective "normal" lens at about 52mm focal length. The lens has great low-light capabilities and excellent field of view control. This lens is hands down the best value of any lens currently offered by Nikon. At this price it really is an exceptional value! Metal mount, rear seal gasket, and silent wave motor internal focus system elevate this lens to the level of pro-quality lenses. Buy with confidence, this lens will not disappoint!

I utilized this 35 1.8 with the newly released D500! Technically the focal length came out to 50mm and it was excellent! This lens is excellent for crop sensors to get that tight shot you're looking for! Enjoy! Cheers!

This is a great lens for taking portraits. The low aperture allows you to get really blurred out backgrounds, but the focal point stays super crisp.

Seriously love this, bought this right after my 50mm 1.8 and didn’t take it off since I got it! Perfect for a crop frame camera to get that full frame effect

I bought this as a backup lens, but the quality is great that I use it more than the originally supplied lens to my Nikon. The pictures come out with great colors and quality.

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He really likes it. It give him a better picture quality than the lens that came with the camera. He can now take close up and far off pictures without blurriness.

This is a great lense compatible with Nikon d3400 and d5500. The large aperture allows for great portraits where the focus is on the person and not on the background. One of the best additions to my gear.

I have only recently gotten into photography. This is the 3rd lens I have bought and it is by far my favorite! Amazing for portraits and for really focusing in on your subject. 10/10 would recommend

This lens is perfect for both beginners and professional Dslr photographers. With its f1.8 it makes things much easier to freeze action.

My wife has just been introduced to this lens as a beginner. The biggest effect she wanted from her camera was a focused focal point with a blurred background. If that is what you are looking for then this lens is for you.

A very economical Nikon lens on budget. Beautiful blur background when taking portraits and close up photos. Designed for crop sensor Nikon cameras, such as D3000, D5000 series DSLR.

This is a terrific DX lens for the price. I use it on my D5500. But I use a Canon 24mm STM on my Rebel more often for family, street and travel photos, This 35mm focal length is a little better for portraits however.

One of the best first prime lenses you can get. It will take your photos to a new place. If you want to do your homework you can see a lot of praise for it on the internet. Save your time and just get it ASAP.

Brought this to take portrait photos and am far more impressed than I ever anticipated. Works well better than the 50mm that comes with some of the Nikon package deals. Excellent investment.

I used this as a point & shoot for basic travel shots and even portraits. It's not the most expensive lens out there but it will perform just as well as a higher end 1.8

Works great on my Nikon 3100. Gives me that crisp shot that I was looking for that I was missing with my kit lens. Took a little bit to adjust to a fixed lens but now I’m in love.

I love this lens. I had a 50mm that was my prime but this is the new replacement. It's always on my camera and gives the best images under any light conditions. For the price of the lens, it's a value to add to the lens collection.
