The lens that came with my Nikon camera has an f-stop of 3.5 which is rather slow for indoor, no-flash photography. This new f1.8 lens suits my purposes very well.

Takes great clear photos, need to work with it a little more, but so far happy with it. Mainly bought it for inside low light photos of my dog.

Nice lens but I only returned it because it's a fixed lens and I needed more range for now. I bought another NIKON lens from Best Buy that is 18-150mm instead. Couldn't afford both.

It's a very good lens to use with the camera that I purchased and I see that is working very very well I love it and I look forward to many years of working with this particular lens it's a very good camera and lens make it just that much better

The lens was noisy at first, then with use that faded away. It’s a good lens nonetheless.

This is a great product to take any pictures inside and outside.

I would recommend all to try this lense. You can really understand your pictures better by using a variety of lenses. There are some people who can not see a difference in the photo out come but they will with more use. This lense is not good for distance shooting.

Compact, fast, sharp lens, AND affordable! When I was looking for another prime lens (I gave my old nifty fifty and D80 to my daughter) and couldn't decide between another 50mm or this one. I went with this one and haven't been disappointed.

Was looking for a non "kit" lens for my D3200. Saved me from spending $600+ on a new vacation camera. Love this glass!

This lens is good for getting details. I need to practice using it more, but I have already gotten some nice shots with it.

My wife loves this lense. It's her new Go to lense. It does take some time to get used to it and I would suggest using a tripod to manage the vibration and natural body sway.

This is my first prime lens. I'm glad I chose this one. It takes some getting use to moving yourself instead of just zooming. It forces me to really think about composition. The images are really sharp.

Definitely a great lense that isn't gonna break the bank, Definitely recommend this over the 1.8D if you want the auto focus and your camera doesn't have its own AF motor
