For the price this is a great close range portrait lens. It has great color, crispness and reacts fast. We use it on a crop sensor so I can not testify to any softness in the corners. A great substitute for a 50mm if you have a crop sensor.

It is a basic lens that works fine for simple shooting, but does not focus very fast.

This is my "go to" lens on my D-300. The field of view is similar to the normal lens on my old 35mm film camera. I also like that Nikon included the soft case instead of making me purchase it separately.

The 35mm focal length closely matches a 50mm lens in the FX format. This is perceived to be a natural lens as it provides an undistorted angle of view that is similar to what the unaided human eye perceives.

I'm so glad I got this lens. I have two kit lenses, which are great for everyday use. I'm currently traveling so I wanted to reduce bulk. This has been the perfect size & easy to use with my Nike D3400.

This is a great lense, I had no issues using the lens. It's great and the price is decent. Needed a new lens that was versatile. This will do can'tzoom but great portrait shots.
