Not as good as my FX 50mm lens, but still better than the kit lenses these cameras come with. The 35mm definitely helps with taking more portrait and closer up shots. I found I had to constantly back up further when using my 50mm.

I absolutely love this lense. It has incredible clarity for professional photography and can be used for recreational photography too. I would recommend this lense to a friend.

This lens is ready for use straight out of the box. Auto-focus is quick and the motor is silent. I have a D3100 and with this lens, it has been my goto combination for any type of photography.

This prime lens works great for street photography and allows me to travel lite with only one lens and a couple of filters.

If anyone is looking to get into photography, I highly recommend this and its at an affordable, that's a great value, you wont be disappointed.

This is a great essential lens for your nikon dx. Is great for portrait pictures and gives a great video quality. very quiet motor noise

When I purchased the camera bundle, I didn't realize that the "basic" lens wasn't included. I bought the camera as my daughter thought it was what I needed, and she didn't realize that this lens wasn't included either. I can now use my camera better and more often.

If you want to do macro pictures this is a great lens and it’s worth the money. I used this to take pictures of desserts and my plants.

The Nikkor lenses make for an absolutly nubeatable match to your DSLR. This lens has worked really well for us.

Good lense for close ups plus works well scenery pictures. We are learning more uses the longer we have it. We find we can get good pictures at about 9 inches.
