    I have had my Nikon D3300 for couple of years and never knew about the prime lenses. Since I am taking mostly portrait photos of kids, I heard that this lens will be better than what I currently have. So for a novice like I am, I am happy.

    This inexpensive lense is a great upgrade to the stock lense that comes with Nikon DSLR cameras. It's a fixed lense at 35mm so there is no zoom, but the F-stop goes from really low to really high so you can blur out the background if that is the desired effect.
