    This is an excellent prime lens due to its low cost and size and weight. I would prefer a 24mm lens but not ready to spend three times the cost of this lens.

    It worked well for photos but not anything EXTREMELY CLOSE.... I couldn't get detailed photos from a few inches away, but thats probably because I am new to cameras. :/

    This lens is amazing but when I half press and it starts to focus, it makes a weird noise. as if something isn't letting it focus.

    This came in a packaged deal with my camera, but it has not disappointed yet. Fits my camera with my 18-105mm lens attached and has room for 2 more lenses (max) if need be.

    Good prime lens for under $200 for a DX. I use in on my FX camera in DX mode. This makes it just a bit over a 50mm lens. Works great just feels like plastic.
