This was one of the first lens I purchased For my D7500. The fixed 35mm lens is Perfect for low light and it doesn't break the bank for a quality upgrade glass.

I use this lense primarily for landscape photography with my D7000 camera, I get nice, sharp images from edge to edge. Prime lenses are the best and this is a lense you can count on everytime.

Great camera lens for all levels of photography. Great 1.8 aperture to create excellent blur. It is a fixed lens so you will have to be agile to capture stunning photos.

Those who are looking for a low-light companion to go along with their current kit lens should consider this lens. I would highly recommend it to even the most amateur photographers. The 35mm f/1.8G provides greater depth of field control with its large aperture, which makes it easy to blur backgrounds. However, for those interested in getting closer to the subject, you should consider the 50mm f/1.8G as it offers a more pleasing angle of view for photographing people. The 50mm costs nearly the same and works on both DX and full frame FX cameras.

Purchased as a gift for my son who's into photography - it is a perfect additional lens (and the start of a lens collection) for his Nixon camera and "Standard" lens.

Fantastic lens--if you are only going to own one lens besides your kit zoom (and you're on a budget), get this one. A 35mm on a DX format camera has the same perspective as a 50mm lens on a full-frame camera (it's a "normal" lens). Meaning that your photos have a very natural look, neither flattened by a telephoto nor exaggerated by a wide-angle. The lens is wide enough to capture landscapes and narrow enough for portraits. It is, in short, an essential prime lens for all photographers.
