Purchased this lens for newborn photography in our studio. You can shoot photos and be close to a newborn or small child without worrying that the child will roll or fall over.. The quality is excellent

This is a good lense to start getting used to prime lenses. The auto focus is a little so-so, but the manual focus range is amazing. Highly recommend this for your into to prime lenses.

This lens. My god. Shoots phenomenal motion and at night. I've done a few shoots already with this attached to my D3200 and I've loved every second. It's now my go-to lens. I do a lot of automotive photography and am just getting into family and human shots (took me 3 dang years). This lens along with my 50mm nikon lens is the bees knees to say the least. Definitely worth every single penny!

I purchased this for my Nikon d3500. I still have a lot more to learn, but so far my pictures are already better than they used to be!

Daughter wanted a camera for her birthday and this lense also. She's just beginning to take pictures and she loves this lense better than the 2 that came with the camera package.

This is my favorite lens so far. You can make the background of your subject like blurry at the lowest aperture. One of the lenses a photographer must have.

Have 18-105 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens but this 35 mm F/1.8 lens makes my photos very pro.

The f 1.8 aperture really expands my available light options and lets me precisely control depth of field. It brings back fond memories of my film photography days.

I bought this for my daughter. We went shooting on Christmas Day, and I was wowed by the quality of the images this lens produced on her D7100. An amazing lens, especially for the price.

I really like this lens. It takes super sharp pictures. However, it is not a lens for Every purpose. Since you can't zoom it's sometimes hard to get everything on the picture.

I reviewed this lens extensively before buying it and I am very pleased. You cannot do better for the price and the image quality is superb. This is a versatile lens particularly family photos.

Great lens. Started out with the "nifty fifty" but found that this works just as good if not better. I'm a photo beginner but I'm having fun with this lens.

Great lens for low light. No VR on this lens, but, unless you're burning off three cups of coffee, you won't really need it. I use a tripod quite a bit, so that really isn't an issue for me.
