    This lens is amazing but when I half press and it starts to focus, it makes a weird noise. as if something isn't letting it focus.

    Good prime lens for under $200 for a DX. I use in on my FX camera in DX mode. This makes it just a bit over a 50mm lens. Works great just feels like plastic.
