The 2DS is a good product for kids under 10. We got one about 18 months ago and my 7 year old still loves it. But it's a good thing we got the extended warranty. Some buttons stopped working recently and we had to replace the unit.

This is all you really need to play ds games. Unit sells for almost half the price of new ds player, maybe not as nice but plays all the same games.

At this point there's nothing to say about it that wasn't said ten years ago. Great games, easy to use/setup and super durable. Almost kid-proof. With 3 kids we've never had to replace one for any other reason than system improvements.

This is perfect for a small child who will mostly play at home. Costs only $70 and comes with a free game which goes for $20 alone. Worth every penny.

I believe it must be a very good item as I bought it for my great grandson for his 11th. birthday and he told me he loves it!!!

My sons eyes lit up when he received this DS on Christmas morning. I probably should have bought two as my wife enjoys playing super mario as much as my son. Perfect size for my 5 year old sons hands.

My wife bought this to play games with me, as I have a 3ds, and it is just her speed and easy to maintain and the price was unbeatable. go for it!

They loved them from the moment they got them and asked for more games

Nintendo hit it out of the park with this one. It's a very simply system that is essentially a souped-up GameBoy with none of the unnecessary 3D elements that define so much of our culture today. I have a 3DS myself, but bought a 2DS for each of my brothers for Christmas because it was a cost-conscious way of getting the system for both of them individually as a gift. One minor complaint: can we please bundle this with something other than Mario Kart 7, which to date, is a 5-year-old game? Can't we get a Smash Bros. or Hyrule Warriors Legends with this?

Purchased for my 6 yr old.... It's not his favorite but he plays it when the iPad is dead. I'm not impressed with the graphics but I like that there is no hinge to wear out like the other ds models

It was an excelent gift for my niece, she loved it, and it was budget friendly

this was purchased as a gift for my younger brother, and he can't keep his hands off of it. I have a 3ds XL myself and we play mario kart 7 together all the time. Definitely recommend this bundle!

Great 2DS for a great price. Does not have everything that the 3DS has but I'm still able to play 3DS games in it and I enjoy the game system.

I was going to be traveling for a long time over a period of 3 weeks (multiple long flights and airport layovers). Having lost my original DS, I got a 2DS as soon as the price dropped. The console looks a bit like a toy, but feels impressively solid, and though I haven't purposely roughed it up, I never thought twice about dropping it into my backpack (with another multitude of devices) and it is standing, working, and mostly intact. It does not have the 3D effect, and while playing A Link Between Worlds I couldn't resist to wonder how much certain moment in the game would benefit of it. In the end, for me not being a hardcore mobile gamer, the price difference was hard to justify, but if you have some disposable income available, the 3DS is probably the better choice. Nonetheless, incredibly happy with my purchase.

Great product for the price, once they were finally in stock. I fully encourage a Protective cover because the first purchase had the screen cracked on impact while being carried in a pocket. Can't beat the price compared to the 3ds.
