This 2DS is the best option for a younger gamer (8 years and up) and a great one for anyone who loves Super Mario. The 2DS is compact and perfect for on the go. In my opinion, the fact that the 2DS does not fold (like the other Nintendo DS systems) is a plus. I have had the top screens on two DSi systems go out because the connection in the hinges came loose.

Son loves it, battery last all day. Good selection of games.

Went from the 2DS to the 3DS. SO MUCH BETTER. I would recommend this one to anyone, but honestly, why no has charging cable? Why no has, why no has.

I grew up on the original game boy, comparing it to the 3ds and the difference in the dollars definitely worth it. I bought two for my kids birthdays and they absolutely love them. If your kids won't use the 3D function buy the 2ds, don't waste the extra money. Only thing is it doesn't fold like the 3ds, but made more durable. You can drop it and won't break.

I bought this gameboy to replace one that my 5yr old broke. She threw the game oh across the room and cracked the screen. A fix cost $40 for the part plus a fairly complicated process to replace. So missy gets a new blue one. If you like Nintendo game oh action, then you will like the gameboy. I'm. It a gamer and there are plenty of reviews regarding the gaming action. Perhaps it could be more durable, but I can't blame Nintendo because like I said, she was playing a game which she thought she needed to physically throw the gameboy.

For the price, this is amazing if you do not care about the 3d feature

I got this as a gift for a 5 year old and was nervous about the buttons being out of reach but it’s perfect for those small hands!

No need for 3D because it gives me a headache. The wife and I are expecting, so we are spending a lot of time in waiting rooms. This helps a lot.

Although this item does not have the 3D like the other devices of its kind, it is well worth it. I myself think that the 3D is pointless. And this console is $100 less than the 3DS. Fits nicely in my hand, although I would love if it closed shut instead of just a flat console. But I love it anyways.

Bought for a Christmas present for my 7 year old. Only complaint is that the game "included" actually had to be downloaded from Internet. Could be a problem for someone without Internet access.

Works okay just dont meed the 3d. Decent price. Works as said.

I got this for my little boy and he loves it. It keeps him busy for hours but I have to get it away from him when its time to eat or bed time.

For the price and the free game, this is a great DS entry option.

We bought this item as a gift and my son has hardly put it down since. Item comes with a charger unlike some of the other versions so that's one less accessory to purchase. You can also use earbuds (not included) so the DS can be played in a vehicle and not get on the nerves of everyone else. Price point was good too so it was a successful purchase.

This is great for kids and adults. You can download old games on to this device along with new titles.
