A very solid system. The price point allows a well constructed system without the unnecessary 3d. Graphically speaking the 2ds and 3ds lines don't meet that of smartphones but Nintendo's unique line of games makes it all the worthwhile. I recommend the system for what it offers especially if you want JRPG's and platformers.

This handheld was on sale for a very good price and came with a very fun game. My only complaints are battery life and my hands are too big for the small console. After extended play it hurts my hands. But this shouldn't be a common problem for most people. I bought this because it was cheaper than the 3DS and I wasn't sure if I wanted to make the full plunge into as 3Ds but I will definitely be buying one now.

This 2ds is made an awesome gift for our son. We didn't want a 3ds because we read that the 3D option is not suitable for children under 10. He loves playing his ds and doesn't bother his sister for hers anymore. The best part for us was the price.

Got this one for her, and the blue one for me. We have couples game night together.

my son's nintendo DS 3D didnt last longer than we expected and my son wanted another DS in it's place. First of all, i got a really great bundle price with this DS with a Mario kart 8 included for about $80, that was very good. However, my son did not enjoy it as much as he likes the Nintendo 3DS. once in a while he still asks if i'm going to buy him the 3DS again. I probably will if the price is right. Will probably not buy this console again based on my son's preference.

I thought my kids will probably say they won the 3DS but they love the 2ds better

Can't complain. The size of the 2DS is perfect and is quite memorable of the GBA.

I couldnt find 3ds xl so I settled with 2ds instead. Took it out of the box and love it because it feels and contour better in my hands. Better playing longer hours cuz doesnt cramp my thumbs as compare to the 3ds xl. Color and graphic seems brighter and more dense than 3ds xl and its much affordable.

Purchased this for my 9 year old as a birthday present. We have had a few 3DS that have not held up. My oldest prefers the 2DS as well. Both said they like this one because it doesn't bother their hands when playing it. I like that both 2 and 3 DS games work in the system - just not the 3d feature.

The camera on this is good for only being on an ds, but it would be better if you didn't have to hold it still for 3 seconds. All in all it is a good product

I have been wanting a 3ds for a while now. I was having a harf time trying to get my wife to approve the expense lol. Looked up some reviews online and was surprised to see many people were talking about 2ds. Works just like a 3ds except for the 3d aspect. Love it and cant beat it for the price. Great buy!

My son (7 y/o) wanted this particular 2DS, the blue color with the preinstalled Mario Kart. It has exceeded his expectations, he loves to play on it (along with his 4 y/o sister). Perfect for kids starting out on handheld devices. Battery lasts long, imaging (although in 2D) are perfect.

I was trying to find something like an old game boy for my kids. This fits the bill perfectly. It's basic, but has some cool features. I like that you can download games, old and new, and it comes with an SD card for storage. Seems like a great value considering it comes with Mario kart preloaded.

I don't know if it's because I'm older that I prefer the original DS or what but I do prefer the original version.

Im impressed with 2ds, much cheaper than the 3ds. My son didn't miss the 3d feature, he just loves the game play.
