We bought this as a Christmas gift for our 7 year old. He loves it and it seems to be very durable.

my son wanted 2DS even though has a 3DS- he is happy with his purchase. the only thing I am not gone if is the shape and it does not close. needs a case. he loves that it plays both his DS and 3DS games.

My kid wanted a 3ds xl for Christmas. I couldn't make that happen, but figured the 2ds would be a great alternative. She loved it as soon as she saw it.

my daughter and girlfriends Grandson love the games . they interact very well.

Can't believe the amount of fun at an affordable price. Tons of titles. A must for any gamers of all ages!

Price is absolutely spot on. The console is sturdy and well put together. Nothing feels cheap and I feel like it can take an acceptable beating and keep on ticking. Screens are obviously smaller than the XL version, but aren't an issue during gameplay. It would be difficult to hold and play if the screens were much larger. I'm very happy with the gaming back library. So many games to choose from. Can't run out of games to play.

You will not be disappointed with this device. As a younger child I had been gifted an original Nintendo 2DS, it got lost and missed the nostalgia associated with it. Nice screen, nice construction. It's not a top end gaming device, but for 80 dollars it sure is a great buy!

My children love these to death. They use them daily and have so much fun.

Got as an option that doesn't have 3D and price friendly so far pleased with purchase and game selection.

Although it doesn't fold, the screens on this console were very clear and nice to look at.

I gave this as a Christmas present. Something happened to it and Best Buy replaced it with no problem.

I debated between a 3DS and the 2DS. The review that helped me decide said that the 2DS reminded them of the old-fashioned game boy. It's solid, it fits well in your hand, and it costs a lot less. If I had to make this decision again, I would definitely choose the 2DS over the 3DS.

Purchased as a Xmas gift for someone who enjoys playing games on the go but isn't an enthusiast (aka casual). He loves how it came with Mario Kart preinstalled and portable it is. Would recommend also picking up a screen protector as the screen is constantly exposed
