    This was PERFECT for my 5 year olds birthday. He wanted a 3 ds but I thought the lack of hinge would make this sturdier. I wasnt wrong. This is a sturdy piece of equipment that still plays all the newer games.

    We bought this for.our 4 year old grandson to start playing simple games and hoped it entertain him through tougher games later on. It's easy to that It will. It's all we wanted and much more. Very affordable.

    I got this Nintendo 2DS for my 6 year old as I don't think she needs the 3D functionality. She absolutely loves it and all the games it is able to play. A great practical console at a fraction of the cost.

    I was looking for something for a friend and this worked. Her kid is younger and she didn't like the idea of the 3D. I agreed. This works great and isn't far behind the 3DS XL other then a smaller screen.

    I returned the blue actually, and get the crimson red instead one for my niece. Love the color. Very sturdy and great value for kids.

    As neat as the 3ds is, the 2ds is still an amazing device and SO much easier on the eyes. We're able to play our standard ds and 3ds games on the device and the single panel leaves less room for damage.
