More durable than the 3DS as my son broke the hinge on 2 of those. The 2DS has no hinge to break and supports the 3DS games and for under one hundred dollars, you can't go wrong.

Got my DS within 2 days of ordering it, and it's just amazing!!! Honestly no complaints at all! Love how it come with a free game, also the price !? You deff cant go wrong !!

My son wanted one of these for a long time and saved his money. He was very happy when it went on sale and he was able to buy it. He plays it all the time during screen time.

I'm not into the whole 3d thing, I feel that over time your eyes just get used to it. So this system is a great deal for any one that wants to enjoy 3DS games without the gimmick.

This is great little gaming system. My 10-year-old saved his allowance for weeks to buy it and he's been having a blast with it so far. He bought one of the older Pokemon games and so far we've had to limit his time as he would play it for hours if he could. The screen is bright with vibrant colors. Even though it's small he hasn't strained at all to see it. It's a great size to fit in his hands as well. My favorite part is the volume control--the speaker is good enough that it doesn't have to be blaring in order for him to hear it. It's nicely designed, and plays all the same games as the 3ds at less than 1/2 the price.

My husband and I bought this as a gift for our son he loves it! He has so much fun playing the built in MARIO kart. What's great is that all ds games work with this console.

I bought this for a long plane ride to Indonesia and I have to say the battery life was great! I bought super MARIO along with the console! I would definitely recommend it!

I bought this for my son for his Birthday. He loves it and plays it every day. I sometimes sneak and play it when he's not looking. The battery lasts a long time between charges.

This is a great one for younger kids. My kid is 8 and not the most careful kid. So this was a great alternative to the 3ds. My husband I do play it from time to time and find that our hands start to hurt. It think the it's a bit to small for our hands. other than that, the kids love it!

Love the one piece design! Purchased as a gift for my son. His 3ds hinges broke so he wanted the one piece unit. He doesnt miss the 3d aspect and always has it in his hands!

Bought this to replace a 3DS that was damaged and out of warranty. My son loves it more than he did the 3DS. What more can you say?

My daughter is 17, but only learns at a 2nd to 3rd grade level. She has trouble operating some games and this one she don't. She finds it fun and easy to operate.

This is my second DS device after having a 3DS for going on three years (and strong). No complaints since I am ok without the 3D function.

The Nintendo 2ds is a low-cost alternative to the 3ds. It is great if you want to play 3ds games for cheap if you do not care for 3d. The only complaint is that it makes my hands hurt after awhile. It could be that my hands are too big. I don't imagine it would be a problem for a child.

I haven't had any issues with this ds! I bought it for my sons 5th birthday and he can easily handle it and learned quickly how to navigate the menu.
