My Fiancé and I were looking to get a new handheld system for my step son, and this was the one we went with. At first we thought a 3DS would be a good fit, but realizing he is still young (6) we felt that this would work better. He loves it, and we saved some money!

Hard to get used to when you've never used the device before. Hard to teach an older person.

As it has been over the years, this more recent DS is a solid piece of technology. It works as expected, takes a bump or drop and keeps on working. It is used mainly by our 4-year-old and we don't have to be overly cautious about like we are when he uses our phones.

My 9 year old really likes this device. The premium for the 3D is really not worth it.

Bought this for my 8-year-old. For either good or bad, she is quite the gamer. She really likes the cute games and this is perfect. Nintendo always does a good job with kid and family friendly content. Her brother gave her Nintendo Dogs and now she has a virtual pet. This is the second one of these I have bought. It is sturdy and rugged and good for kids. My kids love it when we travel.

I bought the 2DS for my son for Christmas as he wanted to play 3DS games but didn't want a 3DS. This replaced his DSXL and he is super excited. Very solid product, plus it came with a free download of MarioKart 7.

2DS is great fun and has educational games too. There are many games available.

I really like this system however I would go with the 3ds if you have the opportunity

My son looked everywhere online for this system for months and he finally found one (the only one in the store) the day we left for vacation 2 weeks ago. He, his sister, and cousins have not put it down yet. He keeps telling me how awesome it is...

Nice alternative to 3DS and less expensive. This is my son's second one of these.

This is a great little console if you want to get in to a handheld for under $100. This bundle comes with the console itself, A/C adapter, 4GB SD card, and a download for Mario Kart 7. Only 2 complaints so far: The L and R shoulder buttons are hard to use sometimes with my adult sized hands. Second, it comes with an undersized SD card. Luckily for about $20 you can max it out with a 32GB SD card.

Been through 2 of the clamshell kind one a 2ds and the other a 3dsxl both cracked over time of 6mths to a year at the hindge so i got the regular 2ds as seen above and it is solid less moving parts equals less chance of issues.

A good price on the 2DS plus it came with a game that I have not played in a while.

I bought this gadget almost a month ago along with a Pokémon game and my son had been hooked ever since!. It keeps him busy while I finish dinner and I don't have to worry about him asking me a million times "is the food ready" haha. Thank you!

I love this! I was going to buy the 3DS XL but they were sold out when i realized they had this one i decided to pick it up and i don't regret it one bit if you don't mind not using 3D then I would get this one and save money and buy more games!

This works perfectly. I'm so glad I got it. I've been wanting a new DS for awhile because all I've had is the DS Lite so when I noticed I had the money for this I immediately got it and I don't regret it. I recommend this to anyone.
