Bought this for my 8-year-old. For either good or bad, she is quite the gamer. She really likes the cute games and this is perfect. Nintendo always does a good job with kid and family friendly content. Her brother gave her Nintendo Dogs and now she has a virtual pet. This is the second one of these I have bought. It is sturdy and rugged and good for kids. My kids love it when we travel.

Been through 2 of the clamshell kind one a 2ds and the other a 3dsxl both cracked over time of 6mths to a year at the hindge so i got the regular 2ds as seen above and it is solid less moving parts equals less chance of issues.

2DS is great fun and has educational games too. There are many games available.

I really like this system however I would go with the 3ds if you have the opportunity

We got this version because it didn't have any hinges or major moving parts for our 4 years old and he is now 7. It has taken a beating and still working flawlessly. Get a screen protector though :)

I bought this gadget almost a month ago along with a Pokémon game and my son had been hooked ever since!. It keeps him busy while I finish dinner and I don't have to worry about him asking me a million times "is the food ready" haha. Thank you!

This works perfectly. I'm so glad I got it. I've been wanting a new DS for awhile because all I've had is the DS Lite so when I noticed I had the money for this I immediately got it and I don't regret it. I recommend this to anyone.

I love this! I was going to buy the 3DS XL but they were sold out when i realized they had this one i decided to pick it up and i don't regret it one bit if you don't mind not using 3D then I would get this one and save money and buy more games!

This is a great little console if you want to get in to a handheld for under $100. This bundle comes with the console itself, A/C adapter, 4GB SD card, and a download for Mario Kart 7. Only 2 complaints so far: The L and R shoulder buttons are hard to use sometimes with my adult sized hands. Second, it comes with an undersized SD card. Luckily for about $20 you can max it out with a 32GB SD card.

This was the perfect present for a 12 year old boy who loves to play games. He hasn't stopped playing it since he opened it Christmas day. He was able to download the game himself and master playing it.

A good price on the 2DS plus it came with a game that I have not played in a while.

Got this for Easter last year with the protection plan and it worked wonderfully until he dropped it one too many times. We were able to bring it in and swap it out with ease because we were still under the one year warranty!

The Nintendo 2DS is a great alternative to the 3DS. Almost half the price with all of the functionality and plays all of the games that the 3DS plays. It just does not have the 3D effect that plays no role on most games.

I know it can't play the "New 3DS" games, but there is only one of those. The form factor and shoulder buttons make this a superior experience imo. I have a New 3DS XL but always grab the 2DS instead because I just love the form factor.

it is thrilling entertainment for me and my grandson. We both have hours of fun.
