I have had to replace this twice. Not as sturdy as I had hoped for my 7 year old.

This gaming console sometimes does not recognize games.

Everything was great except for the charger. I bought the product as a gift for my sister and took it with me to Turkey. When she started using it, we realized that the charger was not working. We had to pay and get an extra charger as a result of this problem.

The 2DS lasted a couple of days before it accidentally dropped onto the carpet and both screens broke. My son has had a lot of game systems over the years and none have been this delicate. We are very disappointed.

the worst game I have seen to date as far as quality of hardware. The inside screen break so easily you have to purchase an added warranty.

My 10 year old really wanted this device and bought it with his own hard earned money. We finally let him buy it. It died within the week and would not charge. We took it back and kept the used documentation so Best Buy could send back a cleaner return. Unfortunately, the code for the free game didn't work when tried with another 2DS, so he couldn't get the free game. Best Buy couldn't fix that. They want us to call Nintendo directly. Sigh. If we cannot get the code from them, we may have to make a third return. He hardly wants to play the thing now.

Bought it for my 5 yr old son. He enjoyed it but dropped it and broke it soon after buying it. He likes his tablet better anyway.

On one minor drop of 12 inches to floor this unit busted

Game had to be ordered. Would not turn on when arrived at house. Best Buy wanted me to bring it to store and then they would order another. Not good enough. A replacement should have been sent immediately. Not happy with experience

The 2DS is less expensive than the 3DS XL, but is able to play the 3DS games. So this is perfect for my 8-year old. And the free Mario Kart download is a nice bonus.

I got this over a month ago and I havent put it down since. Its incredibly comfortable to play. I also have the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL that just came out but I still end up playing the 2DS a lot more. It might lack 3D buuuuut playing Mario Kart 7 for long periods on the 2DS is super comfortable verus a complete strain on my thumb holding down the A button. For certain games like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros the 2DS is esential. Best $100 I ever spent. Ive completely forgotten about my PS3 and other video games.

We definitely have taught our son the value of a dollar. He really wanted to upgrade his DS for Christmas, and was doing the comparison shopping HIMSELF. He is 11 ! We came to the conclusion that the 2DS is a better bargain for your money. It plays all the same games as the 3DS, just not with the 3D effects. It is also a more sturdy console, as it doesn't fold in half like the original and the 3DS. We are all very happy with his choice!

This game is sad it just feels cheap will return to the store

The 2DS is by no means flashy and seems awkward but fits great into your hands and is convenient fitting even into pants and shorts pockets. A blast for gaming on the go no matter your game of choice. Battery is also strong and the wifi is awesome for cross device play.
