Great for my 3 year old

I didn't think I'd like the flat only device, but my daughter loves it. It's very durable - can stand drops and bumps. I just wish they had a pink one. But very satisfied with this purchase and at the awesome sale price!

    Great Device

I think this version of the Nintendo DS, is the best one and it is not as big as it seems in the pictures. This version just feels better when playing any game on it. I've used the other flip versions and they feel much more clunky and big.

    Awesome handheld system!

I bought this system so I could play Pokemon. The last handheld system I had was GameBoy Advance SP. This system is by far worth every penny, it comes with Mario Kart as part of the bundle. I can't seem to put this down and is a must buy for anyone looking to play the new versions of Pokemon but don't care for the 3D.

    Good for kids

I bought this for my kids (8&9 years old) It's user friendly and easy for their little hands to hold. It's just like any other DS really. Only things I don't like and the only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me is because the system doesn't close. To put it in a "sleep mode" you have to switch a little button at the bottom. I feel like they can get more damage this way. Also the screens are so small. The systems are larger and the screens could have been bigger.

    My Kids Love These

For $80 with a $30 (really fun) game included these little things are great buys! It has Internet capabilities with parental oversight/control which was important to us when choosing these. You can buy a ton of games for these on the cheap since they've been around for awhile, especially used games obviously. Hey, since the SD card is only 4 GB (yes you can buy a larger card), I recommend buying the tangible game vs. downloading it for two reasons: limited hard drive space and if you have more than one console/kid (we have 3, for example) you'd need to buy the same game three times if downloading it vs. owning the cartridge. I also like these because they don't fold= less the break down over time and more durable. Cool little buggers, my kids really love 'em! Cheers ; )

    Buy a case!

The product is very well-priced for how much it offers. The only difference between a 3ds and a 2ds is the 3-D on the 3ds not being on the 2ds and not being able to fold the 2ds. Also if you travel a lot with your console i would recommend buying a case since most of the 2ds is exposed.

Make sure you buy the warranty.

We have had a 2DS for quite some time now. We first got it for my oldest as a gift when our baby was born in the summer of 2014. My daughter LOVED it, and it worked great until the charging port went out in September of 2015. Thankfully, we had purchased the warranty and were able to get it replaced at that time. We had a lengthy discussion with my daughter about making sure that her toy was well cared for, and she has taken great care to make sure that it is safely in it's case when she isn't playing it since that time. Fast forward to February of 2016, and the charging port just went out AGAIN on the 2DS that we have only had for 5 months. Good news is that we bought the warranty again, bad news is that these things just aren't made like they used to be. I have an old GameBoy Advance from when I was a kid that still works wonderfully, but these 2DS systems are just not as well constructed apparently. I would recommend this product, as the gameplay is fantastic and my 7 year old absolutely loves it, but I would NOT purchase it without warranty coverage, as it appears as though Nintendo is no longer concerned with the longevity of their product.

I picked one up for my little sister but ended up buying myself one. It is surprisingly comfortable and for the price if you don't need the 3d feature of a big screen this is a great little hand held.

I'm 22 and have no need for 3D, so i chose this one. It is perfect and feels really retro to use. I love it and take it with me onto job sites. Perfect for a gamer on the go.

    Son loves it

Son loves the games and the style. Would prefer that it folds in half instead of fixed open but still enjoys. This was a replacement of another that was 2 years old that ended up having issues with the charger not working when connected. google search seems like this is a common issue.

Suprisingly high tech with touch screens and in game apps. The kids loved them- they made the 2 hour drive go by a lot smoother.

    Another solid Nintendo product

Got this for my son about 6 weeks ago and he loves it. It's durable, as all the Nintendo handhelds are. Graphics are great. It plays basically all the games, including the 3ds games. It's a bit bulkier then previous models, but he wanted this one. Partially b/c this is what a lot of his friends have. It's a big price difference to go to the 3ds.

    My kids love their 2DS'

My kids have a red and a blue 2DS and they love them. We share 3DS and DS titles and their devices came with Mario kart 7 (digital) free. No flimsy hinge for them to break. The screens can get scratches if you're not careful enough. I think they're great devices for the price.
