Love this system. Nintendo always puts out quality hardware, and this unit is no different. The battery life is decent enough, the design is sleek, and the 3D effects are more than a gimmick. The key for the 3DS is great software, and as long as it keeps coming, I'll keep buying.

The new 3ds is awesome. The way it follows you to change the 3d viewing angle to where you are in position to the screen works really well. You no longer have to sit still looking dead center for the 3d to function correctly. I don't understand how it works, just that it works Well.

The larger screen is a plus but BEWARE - this item DOES NOT come with a Power/charger - FAIL NINTENDO !!! =(

The face tracking is a much needed improvement and the improved processing power is noticeable on games like Super Smash Brothers. Adding Amiibos is a fun option, and it builds even more excitement as to how to games will incorporate these great additions to the world of Nintendo.

Improved 3d is about the only upgrade I can tell. Does NOT include a power supply. Very lame Nintendo!

Bought this as an upgrade to the Nintendo DS. It works great and the bigger screen is also much better.

Bought as gift for son. No problems as of yet. Did not come with the plug in charger so had to buy one.

The Nintendo - New 3DS XL is a great game system for younger children. All of my children started on these and still to this day, both are over 20, and they Love these games, even with the fancy game systems out there, there is NO match to Nintendo for Young Children...!

Nintendo is finally developing some amazing technology for the franchise. amiibo support on the New 3ds is amazing. I use the amiibos all the time and the street pass is really cool. I would honestly recommend this to a friend, so we can play Smash Brothers all the time :D

I bought the 3ds xl for my older son but my 3yr old plays with it. I was very hesitant because I didn't no if this thing could handle a toddler. I'm pleased to say it's holding up just fine. I've played with it and I was impressed with quality overall and the camera.

Noticeable speed bump in loading and menu operations, not so much in games (yet). Amiibo support is nice. Removing bottom cover to access microSD is annoying but shouldn't be needed often, old location for stylus was more convenient. Would recommend if don't already own 3DS.

A great change, not only this versions boasts shorter booting and shut down speeds, some controls are more intuitive, the cartridge slot is better situated, and it even has an included MicroSD memory. I also believe it is less expensive than the original 3ds at it's launch.

Funny thing about the Red XL, there's a lot of them and we were easily able to pick one up on black Friday despite the Mario ones being sold out. (they were 50% cheaper too) But all other colors were gone, only red was left. Interestingly the color of the XL made no difference to the performance. It plays Pokemon Sun/Moon just fine and older games too. Supports Virtual Console, Miis, and a bunch of other cool stuff like no-glasses 3D which the kids just LOVE. Get one, hard to be disappointed with such a small powerful capable computing/gaming device in the palm of your hands.

Standard 3DS XL with a beautiful rendition of the galaxy on the outside. Was mildly surprised that not power adapter was included in the package.

My lovely girlfriend surprised me with this as a christmas present and I have not been able to put it down or leave it at home. I got it early and have taken it everywhere with me for over a week now. If you want a great portable gaming device then look no further.

I've been a loyal Nintendo fan since the NES days because they never disappoint. Their consoles and hardware last forever and their exclusive games are consistently top notch. Consider upgrading if have a DS or original 3DS like I did. Definitely worth the $200 price tag.

My son loves his new 3ds xl. Best buy has been great especially since one of the buttons stopped working properly and they exchanged it out no problem. It helps that I'm an elite plus member. Would buy again.
