The New Nintendo 3DS XL is everything that the original Nintendo 3DS XL is except the built in Amiibo support and some additional buttons. That being said, if you liked the 3DS XL then you'll like this, just make sure that those things are worth it if you are upgrading.

Better than the old version, faster graphics just better all around. Still very fun and easy to use, just play.

Graphics are good. My son likes the 3d effect. Lot's of game choices.

The 3DS has been a great machine since the beginning, this update is definitely worth upgrading from the previous version. Face tracking works beautifully!

I'm happy that I did not upgrade from 2DS to the original 3DS. The New 3DS has a great head tracking tech! I Play Monster Hunter 4 with 3D on all the time

Bought for my daughter she loves it. Keeps her from getting into trouble. Looks better than my son's 3ds plays games wirelessly with my son's old 3ds

My son wanted this, I was hesitant at first because it just says the NEW 3DS, but after seeing the eShop and some other new features I was sold. Awesome.

I bought this for my nephew a year ago and until now this product still amazing! It worked well even my nephew handled it carelessly.

It's a great handheld system. I don't see the big deal about the new little button but apparently it's important to him so w/e. If he likes it, i love it.

Debated on saving $75 and buying older model but so happy we didn't. Present for my daughter and my husband has gotten more enjoyment out of it too.

The new 3dsxl is absolutely amazing. Especially the new 3d technology that follows your eyes so you dont have to always keep the system exactly straight.

What can I say it is perfect for traveling and the battery life lasts more than six hours of straight use.

This is a really great system. I got it on release day and it was in stock at Best Buy!! It's more powerful and has more controls than it's predecessor.

I was disappointed to find out a certain game, xenoblade, my daughter got for xmas couldnt play on the old nintendo ds. Its very confusing how they call the newer system "New Nintendo 3DS XL". But, the controls and 3D is better. $50 more better, eh, I don't know.

Love the amibo features! My son is totally into Pokemon so this was a no brainer! Even price matched it for me so I could get the color he wanted!

The new 3ds XL is a great update to the 3ds line. But if you have a 3ds already it is not necessarily a have to have upgrade. It has some nice features.
