I bought the Nintendo DS XL's for my children, 4 years & 9 years old. They are easy for both of them to use, excellent parental setting, and lots of options for both ages!

I have never used any previous models before. This Nintendo 3DS XL new is awesome! I get motion sickness, so I tend to not even use the 3D effects during gameplay- but it's still as fun and compact as I hoped. It does become uncomfortable to hold after a few hours so I bought a grip from Amazon, which eases the playability. The space design is perfect for an astronomy geek such as myself.

The new Nintendo 3DS has improved 3D, a decent sized library of hit games, and amiibo support. The only downside is a screen resolution lower than your average smart phone. Nintendo has become a company that turns a gimmick into a console. And they've refined their latest into a better portable console.

The BEST Nintendo handheld ever! My daughters love this game system. I will be getting another so they both have their own. The 3D really looks cool and adds to the game play. The XL size makes a big difference too. Larger but not bulky. Honestly think it should cost less but... So many games available as well. BTW the Galaxy Edition case was a big hit with my girls too. Highly Recommended!!

Bought this for my gf's brother. Super neat! The design is very sleek and the red one especially stands out. Nintendo is improving their consoles. Definitely a good buy.

It's the 3rd DS I bought and my son said is the best, I think it is worth it because it can use the old games although it does not include any charger which is the bad part

Never got the first 3DS and wasn't impressed with the 3D part of it. The new system is more improved and not just with the 3D aspect. All around feels like a better system.

Nice size screen, excellent controls, durable. Son enjoys playing with Pokemon game available on this new 3DS XL. Easy to lose stylus but thankfully they sell more. Does not come with charger so make sure if you don't have one from previous Nintendo to buy one. Good battery life. Easy to travel with this device, just throw in a backpack and go. Parental controls available for younger kids.

Full disclosure: I'm a Nintendo fan and own both previous versions of the 3DS. On to the review! This is a fantastic piece of hardware and highly recommended to newcomers. The 3d is greatly improved and I can play for more than an hour without any I'll effect (headaches, eye strain). The load tines are noticibly snappier, perfect for the more complex games. The secondary "joystick" feels weird at first but is incredibly accurate and responsive. The new shoulder buttons are not in use yet but are easy to press. If you don't have a 3ds, get this one. If you already have a previous version , I'd recommend the upgrade.

The console is faster and more responsive. I enjoy the more dynamic screen. Great size, easy and light to handle. LOVE IT!

I love this system it is better than the last model since you can toggle between the 3D effect level. It fits well in the hands and has a great sound for its size.

The stable 3D is really nice and I'm enjoying playing my 3D favorites over again. The faster loading times make it hard to go back to my old 3DS I passed on to the kids!

the 3d feature is so much better in this new 3ds system, no longer do you have to keep completely still for the 3d features, it is now a much more comfortable experience.

Great upgrade moving from the original 3DS to the New 3DS XL. I love the larger screen size! If you want to fit it nicely in the pocket you may want to look elsewhere.

Such an amazing upgrade from my 1st gen DS. Easier to hold (1st gen felt a little small) and the amiibo support is awesome and realistically the main reason I got it.

I AM NOT A NINTENDO PRODUCT BUYER, BUT I DECIDED TO BUY THIS NEW NINTENDO DSL 3D BECAUSE IT HAS BETTER GAME OPTIONS LIKE 3D VIEWING, BETTER GAMES IN WHICH YOU CAN PLAY FROM OLDER TITLES FROM PREVIOUS NINTENDO HANDHELDS. OTHER FEATURES I LIKED IS BIGGER SCREEN. BUY THIS IF YOU LIKE THESE FEATURES.

3D screen is much improved over my original 3DS. Larger screen makes playing much nicer.

I bought this after missing on the launch of the old 3ds. I am enjoying a plethora of great games using the great 3d feature. Missing an ac adapter, but I had one from an old ds luckily, but knocking off a star for ac oversight.

A great improvement of the previous model. The 3D in particular is way better with the new face tracking tech. I hardly used the 3D before and now I hardly turn it off.

Very good sound for a small unit. 3D content focuses on you only (who cares about others around you). Picked up Majora's mask and Omega Ruby with this. Very satisfied.
