This is a standard New 3ds xl. It can be confusing for some parents trying to get this device for their kids. The "new" in front of 3ds makes it a completely different product than just the 3ds. The "new" 3ds has a variety of extra features including face tracking. It also has better processing and some new games coming out could potentially only work on the new system. Prices for the product are fairly standard, but I was glad Best Buy had the product available for online ordering and in-store pickup on the release day.

Nintendo never disappoints, even though it's a minor change for the screen size it's definitely worth getting the updated version.

Good update to the old 3ds. I definitely noticed how much more powerful it is and the graphics are slightly better. I only played a few games so the c stick and the new trigger buttons I haven't gotten to use yet. Overall it's a good handheld system

Wasn't sure if the upgrade was worth it, but man am I glad I coughed up the money. The 3d is unbelievable now compared to before!

This is the best product for kids out there. It is definitely a must have. It will keep them busy while your out restaurants etc.

Major improvement on 3D, lots of great games, improved controls. Would recommend to anyone looking for a handheld gaming device.

This replaced a broken original 3DS. Performance somewhat better, but the bigger screen is the big selling point.

Easy for my 6 yr old to use. Beware though... The system no longer comes with a charging cord. You'll have to buy it separately.

I bought this for my daughter. It's perfect for travel. It's portable and fits perfectly in her pocket or backpack.

I bought this game for my nephew, and may say in his name that it is great handheld hardware, with great image, easy to use anywhere.

You must know the charger/adapter is not included with this purchase! This was a Santa gift and was an epic fail. Thankfully we did our Christmas on Saturday and had a store to go to that day to buy one! He has not hardly put it down since.

I've waited a very long time to finally purchase a "New" 3DS. With the System in my hands I have mixed feelings. In regards to games for the system, there is no short supply of amazing games. The system itself has been improved from the last model, but I am finding these changes to be very minimal. First I do not appreciate only being given the option of having a XL sized 3DS. For a portable gaming devise the XL is far too large to carry around in ones pocket like a cell phone. It also doesn't feel as comfortable in the hands of a full sized adult male. The stylus in this model is far too small for an adult, and will lead to cramp hands in prolonged playing. With all these issues this is still a must have system for portable gaming. However, if you already own a 3DS there are not enough reason to purchase this upgraded model in my opinion.

I've been a fan of the original 3DS and this one takes the cake. The 3D has been so much improved and so has the battery life.

I haven't have a DS since just before the DSi came out. I wanted to purchase one when the 3DS XL came out but heard the NEW 3DS XL would be coming out shortly and waited. Glad I did. The 3D effect is more accurate and overall seems really solid.

This was my daughter's second 3ds, The New 3ds xl is big enough, and has the processing power to keep her from getting board.

The 3d effect viewing angle is better and load times much faster. Also the second stick works great for Monster Hunter 4. i'm sure many other games will take advantage of the new buttons and better processer.

The improvements on thee handheld att worth it. Improved 3D, faster loading, and believe the nub/2nd stick makes a difference

Couldn't find a black 3ds in stock, so I caved and went with the red and very glad I did. It looks and feels great, the new 3D is a lot better than the older models. My only complaint is that my hands sometimes cramp up from playing too long.

I didn't pay close attention to the contents of the box. After I got home and my son opened it and we realized there was no charger. I think all handheld game consoles should have a charger included. Overall the item itself is great!
