3DS Is A Lot Of Fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is an awesome system, very fun and entertaining. Not too big and not too small. You can use it on those long commutes. Screen is really bright which is great, battery life is good too. Just wish there was a switch, dial or knob to control the screen brightness easily.

Nintendo still rules the handheld market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo continues to dominate the handheld market. Sure the graphics may not be as flashy as the PS Vita, but the game catalog blows them out of the water. 3DS XL was a nice upgrade over the DS and if you're trying to choose between the regular 3DS and the XL, the XL is the way to go. The additional screen size is worth the extra couple of bucks. The larger size my be a little hard to handle for younger children, but everyone else this is the way to go. I've found myself playing this more than my PS3 lately as great games continue to come out with Nintendo making more of a push to add more games to the virtual console (hopefully more SNES games). The battery life is solid and allows you to change the brightness and switch between energy saving modes. It also charges quite fast as well. A solid gaming purchase.

Great for anyone and everyone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the original 3DS when it first came out, and when the 3DS XL came out I waited for it to go on sale before buying it. When it finally was on sale for $200 with Mario Kart and a $20 Best Buy Gift Card, I couldn't resist and bought it. "Wow" is the first thing I thought of when I first unboxed my new gaming system and opened it up. The screen is so much bigger than the 3DS, that now when I look at my 3DS, I say to myself, "Was I really playing on this?" The screen size really makes a difference and makes gaming more enjoyable. I find that I don't really use the 3D option much on the 3DS or with my 3DS XL, but when I do use it on the XL, it's much easier and less of a strain on your eyes with the XL than on the original 3DS. This is a great system, and I highly highly recommend it! The only 'bad' thing is that it attracts dust very easily, but if that doesn't really bug you, it's not really a problem. I also highly recommend getting a HORI screen protector (it should come with the top and bottom protector).

Greatest Portable System Out There
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this game system. A lot of the games are great for killing time and having fun with your friends (super smash), and others are great to spend some quality time with exploring the great content (Pokemon). The street pass feature is a tun of fun and the battery can last days without needing a recharge. I would recommend this system over any other mobile entertainment system out there.

3DS realizes its potential
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is what the 3DS should have been from the start. Better screen, better battery life, better ergonomics. This is a very thoughtful redesign. The older 3DS was much rougher on my hands because it has sharper edges. The 3DS XL has nice rounded edges that make it nice to hold. Smaller kids may prefer the original due to size but my 6 and nine year old find the 3DS XL to be a much better device.

Great overall system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this because mainly I wanted the bigger screen, and a working gyroscope (The one on my Launch Day 3DS broke). Also, the on/off switch for the 3D effects was nice, too. The battery seems just as long as the original, if not longer.. The main downside is the system itself is a bit larger as a result. If you have younger kids or are prone to dropping things, I would recommend the regular 3DS instead of this. In the end, it's a 3DS system. It's better than the WiiU with more games, and a lot cheaper too (Plus it's portable! It goes everywhere I go, if I get stuck waiting for someone at my job, I have something with me to pass the time.

Excellent Upgrade from the Nintendo DS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my son as an upgrade from his ancient Nintendo DS and when I finally convinced him to give it a try he was in love! It's still compact like the original, but the bigger screen and ability to play his older collection of games is a huge bonus. He has autism so it is a bit challenging for him to give detailed feedback, but I can tell just from watching him that one of his absolute favorite features is the built-in camera! He was able to take a photo of himself and then see his face riding a roller coaster while playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. So very cool!

I love it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it when I have nothing left to do and helps to pass the time. I would not suggest using the 3d feature, I personally hate it. Battery life is pretty good.

Great handheld gaming system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo 3DS XL is a great handheld gaming system. The XL has a bigger, nicer screen than the regular size version and there are a ton of games for this platform as it will run both DS and 3DS titles.

I love it; play it everyday
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a college graduate and worried that I would buy this and let it gather dust somewhere after the initial "newness" wore off, but quite the opposite! I play it everyday, and am continually finding new games to play on it. Free ones like pokemon shuffle, and other favorites include animal crossing, pokemon XY, legend of zelda, and fantasy life! Works wonderfully and haven't had any issues.

Great 3DS XL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought Red Nintendo 3DS XL on sale ($174.99 plus tax) and check out and firmware is on 6.2.0-12U - 11-18-2014. I check all buttons, screens and circle pad feel just right. It fit in my adult hands just fine. No cramps problems anymore. I had Nintendo Lite and make my hand cramps because it is small for my hands when play any games longer. I had Blue Nintendo 3DS XL with Mario Kart 7 bundle, but little annoy with circle pad when I play any game, just little stuck on both left and right from circle pad but need little force to move both side. Not so bad. I don't play everyday, just sometimes to rare play anytime. I'm not in hurry. I would love to see new Nintendo 3DS XL in year 2015 and would buy when it is on sale.

So much fun, your head will explode
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a grown up who loves video games, just not first person shooter type stuff. I love Mario games and that whole world of Nintendo fun. So when the 3DS XL came out, I jumped to grab it. I have a Nintendo DSi XL and I loved the bigger screen (I have almost-40 eyes, so it's better for me, and who doesn't love more screen real estate?). The screens are super bright and the chip inside is lighting fast. It also comes with an analog stick along with the classic D pad, so you can have uber-control over whoever you are playing as. The 3D portion of the unit is interesting. There is a slider on the side of the top screen that lets you adjust the amount of 3D you'll have to deal with. I almost always have it turned off, because it bothers my eyes. But feel free to turn it up. Some games can't be played properly without it but most don't particularly need it. You can also play all your DS games on it, which is great if you hit a sale or see an older game you'd like to play, or your kids have older games they want to play. As for games, there are a ton of them and they range from learning games to crazy shooter-y type stuff to my favorite nintendo classics. You can buy games from the e-store as well. So for the money, you really can't beat the 3DS XL. So go pick one up and have some fun in your life!

Better than all the previous versions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome product, overall. Everything, for the most part, is great. It has a great design and looks a lot better than the regular ads. The bigger screen is awesome as well. The only bad things are the processor, and the wifi. The processor seems a little slow. I always have to wait like five seconds for things to load, or for it to turn on. Another thing is the wifi, it doesn't seems to connect to my sister's net, but it connects to my other sisters net. I'm thinking its just the internet, and not really the 3ds itself. But overall, it is a great product. Just can't wait till Pokemon x and Pokemon y comes out.

Best Portable around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having upgraded from the original 3DS, I can say it was well worth it the XL is just that much better and using the large screen makes me think how hard it would be to go back to the smaller one. The system itself is heavier than I expected and one thing that annoys me is how because of the top heavyness the top screen tends to wobble out of place.

Great portable fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3DS XL is a must have if you love portable gaming. Great catalog of games. Its worth the few extra bucks alone for bigger screen and longer battery life also more comfortable to hold.

3DS review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not see much difference from the regular 3ds. Having the 2 extra buttons at the top of the machine is helpful and good. I am not liking not having new apps like facebook and twitter. On the ps vita you can get multiple applications in addition to playing great games on a rather large handheld device. Sorry but this system just does not have enough new things that were important to me. The 3d effects are the same to me but it is advertised like there is something different.
