Love the new 3-D addition to DS!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great new DS, with 3-D and great colors. The larger screen is also much better than the older versions. Very happy with purchase, will be great for my vacation!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game system is great and Best Buy gave the best service. I ordered last years model and because they could not fulfill the order they upgraded to this years model for the same price. What a nice Christmas surprise! Thank you Best Buy!

LOVE IT!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old nephew. I have several editions of my own. He knows how to work this thing better than I do. It's a great machine. Make sure you get the military grade screen protectors!!! And a good case!!!

Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3Ds is a nice size and I love the joystick controller. It's much easier to make Mario go where he needs to with a full circle of movement available.

Awesome gift for anyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though Nintendo just announced the "new Nintendo 3DS," this one will still be compatible with any new game releases. The Blue color looks amazing and the only drawback is it doesn't come with a wrist strap. Other than that it's still great.

Great handheld, Hard to put down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get my Nintendo 3DS because for the first time in about 15 years, I was going to play Pokemon!! The 3DS is great, with great feel, large dual screen and 3D scenes. I also like the fact that you can download old Mario and Zelda games right from the marketplace onto your device!

Improvement over original
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The larger screen is nice and improved battery life made me upgrade. I wish the resolution was improved but i knew the only major advantage of the xl is larger screen and improved battery life. The system is good but not as well designed as the vita. I own both so no regrets I can enjoy any game i'd like.

It was a great gift for our 7 1/2 year old.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I had to buy another one, I would do so in a heart beat. My Son loves this game and he plays it hours on end, and I was also able to get him off my IPHONE5 which he always had to play games on is why we bought this and I have no regrets.

Large screen = happy boomer gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it. I have had as DS in several different "flavors" since Nintendo released them. This version blows the others away. The big screen rocks for my Legend of Zelda games. Graphics are excellent. I am in my 50s and can SEE the screen! A little pricey but worth it for adults, especially since my hubby can actually hold it without dwarfing it. Larger size is a plus for guys with large hands. Definitely a must-buy for grown-up gamers.

An exceptional device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Portable gaming has occupied a different space in my life as times have changed. As a youngin, I played on the school bus. Later on I'd play when the family TV wasn't available. As an adult, lunch breaks at the office became prime gaming time. This is where my iPhone started to creep in as my main portable gaming device - it was new, it was shiny, and it was on my person at all times! Eventually, however, the compromises inherent to the phone platform started to get on my nerves. There were some control types that just did not lend themselves well to a simple touch screen. Just because I COULD play a game on the phone didn't mean that I really should. I learned through experience -- but hey, at least I only paid $1 for that iPhone version of Street Fighter. The 3DS really caught my attention when I noticed some of the great games that were only available on that platform. Luigi's Mansion 2? Fire Emblem Awakening? A new Yoshi's Island? Those were some legit games, and they would actually control well! Now I proudly carry my 3DS XL to work, and get to cram in some prime gaming time away from home. I even find myself putting time into these games back at my place, ignoring the expensive home theater setup I've put together over the years - the library is just that compelling! I was also pleasantly surprised at how fun some of the little user interface flourishes are. StreetPass is a great innovation, and I get excited like a kid whenever I find that a local Mii has visited my 3DS. I look forward to a new puzzle piece every day (you'll understand when you have your own 3DS, trust me). The XL sacrifices some portability, so it's not something you'll ALWAYS have on you like an iPhone. I've already found comfortable places in my life for it though. In addition to work breaks, it's also great to play right before bed, when I don't feel like firing up the aforementioned home theater rig. Just like the original DS model, you can put it to sleep just by closing the lid, so it works great in short bursts. In the end I'd say this device complements my iPhone very nicely, from a gaming perspective. There are still game types that work best on iPhone in my opinion - any type of asynchronous multiplayer, certain puzzle games, "timer games" like Tiny Tower and the like. "Virtual d-pad" games are dead to me now, however. Any type of tight-control game is where the 3DS XL... excels!

Very Cool!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My girlfriend had the original 3DS and I always thought it was pretty cool although I didn't want to buy a second one, that was until Pokemon X & Y came out. We both wanted to play, battle, and trade together so I decided to buy my own. Being the Newer 3DS with the bigger screen I was blown away, and she was quite jealous! The screen is awesome the 3D feature is cool, and I am glad you have the option to turn on and off, sometimes your eyes need a break from the 3D! The sound was great as well, I would definitely recommend this device to friends!

Great way to pass time in the airports!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 3DS XL for 2 reasons. First, to pass the time when I am traveling. Second, to play multiplayer games with the kids. After a month of using it, I must say that it is as much fun as I remember my original Gameboy to be. The battery life is better than my son's 3DS and usually provides me several hours between charges. The 3D functionality is really cool, though it gives me a headache after about 10 minutes, so I usually turn it off. The selection of games is pretty large and I love the Mario series, so it was a no brainer purchase for me.

Great Portable Gaming System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nintendo 3DS XL, is the bomb. Games are affordable both 3DS or DS version (DS are even less), Wide range of games already available. You can sync your NNID account between your 3DS and Wii U. My son loves his 3DS and everything it can do. (like Netflix, etc) Perfect for road trips or plan rides. So much to offer. That is what I love about Nintendo, bang for the buck. The 3D can be on or off. (off preserves battery), Easy setup on Wifi, The menu is easy to navigate and Nintendo keeps it similar to the Wii and Wii U for that reason.
