This is a great product. The size of the screens are perfect for me and the 3d has no faults.

My son plays this device a lot and loves it. Even though he plays one level of Mario over and over again and is so excited every time he passes that same level.

This system is great over all with great colors on screen, great graphics and many games that can be played on it as well, one of the drawbacks is that I usually end up playing on just the big screen, but with the 3D turned off as in some games it can be a little bit too much. Definitely worth the price paid though for a great durable system.! I have many more games to play on mine but glad I purchased this.

I recently found my Gameboy Color while sorting through a series of boxes last week and was amazing at how small the screen was. This handheld as completely ruined me for retro portable devices. The huge screen is amazing. It really makes it feel like I could give up TV screen gaming because I won't be going blind playing this.

3DS XL has an impressively large screen. The 3DS XL is not as heavy as the old DS XL was.

Superior portable entertainment for a 9 year old. There were so many variety of games to choose from including educational learning games. I highly recommend it!

The 3DS is a great handheld system with a lot of really good games that came out this year, and with many more to come. Many complain that it only has one analog stick, but so far I haven't had any problems with that. All the games still play fine! The 3D feature is very cool, but if you don't like it or it gives you headaches, it can be easily adjusted or turned off completely. Very happy with this purchase!

I bought the system and game for my husband. He is a big Zelda fan and he loves the 3d affects. The gift was a win.

Bought it for my nephews because they had received some 3ds games for Christmas but unable to play. They lover it!

All in all I have really enjoyed my 3DS XL. The big screen is awesome and makes gaming on it alot of fun. The battery life on mine hasn't been to bad either.

The Nintendo 3DSxl is a fine addition to the overall DS brand. My kids have used the Nintendo portable products for many years, and the 3DS has proven to be just as fun, and durable, as the previous products in the line. Overall setup out-of-box is quick, and easy, which means the device is ready for use almost immediately. This is a huge plus, as kids are ready to play new game systems as soon as possible after receiving them. The two main benefits over earlier DS releases are the larger screen size, and the "3D" feature." Nintendo successfully balanced the larger screen with the surrounding case in a way which does not really bulk up the machine. This means the screen benefit is not offset by a larger, hard-to-manage device. The 3D is a bit of a mixed blessing. It is neat, but only for a short period. Headaches and nausea may come from extended gameplay (an hour or more), so regulation of 3D use is recommended.

We got a 3DS for my oldest son after seeing how much fun he had borrowing his cousin's. The game play seems very good, and there's a great selection of games. Only downside is how expensive some of the games can be. But the system is great for travel and those times when he just needs to have some quiet time on his own.

The games are actually quite good and I've enjoyed playing it so far. Travels well and the battery life can easily make a long flight and more. Main issue I have is that the XL 3D really isn't worth the extra price. The 3D is essentially useless (I almost never turn it on) and the size is actually a little bit annoying, especially when on the subway. If I could go back after using it for a few months, I would probably just get the 2D one -- it's smaller, but significantly less expensive and while you might always wonder "What am I missing if I don't have the 3D", I'm fairly confident I can tell you, "You're missing nothing". Overall, it's a good product -- probably just cheaper and easier to get the 2D one.

I hadn't used a handheld gaming console in a while (until I bought this product), so I appreciated the improved graphics that much more. But I think even an avid gamer would be impressed. Just be careful with the screens--I didn't buy screen protectors, but now I think maybe I should have. Particles accumulate on the screens, but they might just go away with a swipe from a microfiber cloth. Great product!

Purchased the bigger Nintendo 3DS XL for my kids, because I dont want them to strain their eyes looking at the small Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS slider is great because when you dont want to play the game in 3D you just turn it off. The price is a little bit high to pay since I had to buy 2 of them (Twins), but worth every penny. I purchase the Blue and the Red one and they seem really durable after a few weeks.

Waited till on sale and with a free game included (Mario Kart 7). The recent additions to Nintendo's catalog such as Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion have really made this system a great buy. The XL is easier to hold and has a larger screen however the resolution did not change so the screen has more jagged edges on characters. Overall I would recommend this one over the regular sized 3ds.
