My oldest son loves his 3DS but he always has the screen up to his eyeballs. So when I saw that they came out with a newer version with bigger screens, I had to get it for him. He loves it. He is now going back and trying to beat all his older games again because they look different on the bigger screen.

This product was just as I expected it to be. I'm pretty satisfied that this purchase was my first gaming device. However, after a week or so of usage, I was forced to repeatedly restart the device due to a frozen screen when I attempted to load games. Thankfully, this does not regularly occur.

My children love this game system. Very easy to use and good battery life. The screen is a perfect size so my kids play this way more than they did on their smaller ds lite. I would recommend.

Nice clear screens, better battery life then normal 3DS, love the option to download some cheap games to beable to play whenever. Got it on sale ($20 off) and had multiple giftcards. Well worth the full price though. Side note. Have had at least one version of every nintendo HH since the first GameBoy.

I have three kids and I love the different colors the 3DS provides. Each of my 3 have their own color. It is a great product and would recommend.

This is a wonderful system for all ages. A large variety of games are sold for this game system. From adults to kindergarten. My kids love it!

Longer battery life and bigger screen and good overall improvement over 3DS

This was a Christmas present for my 15-year-old is very excited and very happy. He likes the way it handles and fits in his hands. He enjoys playing the new Pokémon games on it with his sister.I bought one earlier in the year for his younger sister and he was extremely jealous and really wanted one so for Christmas he got the DS 3-D and the bowl that was beautiful.

I only have good things to say about this model. My son has had an original DS for a few years now and finally saved up enough to buy a new 3DS XL recently. This is beyond a doubt a major product improvement. The larger screen cuts down on eye strain and the placement of the buttons are great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering making the leap from 2D to 3D.

We got this for our 7 year old son. Many of his friends have their own tablets, but we're not willing to give that to a child so young. He really loves it. It's perfect for car rides and times when we have an extended wait. The screen size on this is MUCH bigger than the older 3DS, without making the console itself that much bigger. It's very nice! While the game price is reasonable - Usually $25-35 for the games he wants - it feels more expensive now that we've reached the age of "apps" that can be purchased for a significantly lower cost. Because we make him buy his own games (aside from bday and Christmas gifts), it does mean it takes a while to save up.

It's fun to use. Cool features. Not so fond of the included games. Holds battery charge well. This product would be too confusing for a young child to use but good for a teen. Camera does not take sharp photos. However, this product is great for game playing and creating activities. The street pass feature is fun. After one month, she is still learning the features on it.

My son and daughter both have 3D DS and love them. They can take it with them to keep entertained on long trips or other boring Adult activities. There are a lot if games fir younger kids.

My son got this for me because he wanted me to play games with him. Being an aging gamer, I found that the controls, screens and everything about it made it great for someone who's eyes aren't as good as they used to be and whose fingers are larger than the average 9 year olds. :) Would definitely recommend to anyone who has found their glasses not as strong as they once were.

A nice upgrade to the DS to the larger screen and the 3D to add to the fun!

This is a great upgrade from the Nintendo Ds Lite. 3Ds games look amazing on it and the 3D is great and does not put as much strain on your eyes. The casing is shiny and every color looks good. It is not great for original Nintendo DS games however, but is still able to, just you will miss the great 3DS graphics. Great product and I hope to see more great games for this device!

I bought this as an upgrade from the original Nintendo DS (pre dsi). It is a great handheld gaming system. The big screen is helpful on the 3DS XL. I also like the street pass feature which encourages gamers to take the system with them to 'tag' other gamers around town and to earn in game currency (called play coins) for each 100 steps that you log on in internal pedometer.

Had to replace my original device to damage that was done to it.

my grandson loved this from the moment he received it.. The screen is large and he loves that he can play his 3d games on it. I am at Best Buy website right now getting ready to buy him another game. Best Buy always has the latest games, the website is awesome. I wish I would have had enough money to buy the delux model with Pokémon on the outside but maybe next time

The 3DS XL is the ultimate version of the 3DS line of handhelds. Offering two large high quality screens, 3D capability, an amazing software lineup and a nice collection of apps, the 3DS XL is the culmination of Nintendo's handhelds in a great package. The only issues I have are the finish collecting fingerprints and the fact that the 3D effect has a small viewing angle.
