The Nintendo 3DS XL is better than the regular 3DS with it's bigger screen and a much more conveniently designed stylus pen. The only downside to the XL is it's bulk and size, which can be quite tiresome after a while of gaming.

My youngest daughter was all too happy to receive her own DS. She would fight to play with her sisters so buying this saved me a headache. Its easy to set up and with a full library of games it provides hours of entertain.

This was a birthday gift for my son, picked out by him. He loves it what more can I say. He loves being able to take it with him whether to the Mall or just walking to earn points & to see who else may be carrying one. Great gift.

This product is amazing! The 3D is super and the games are grand! There's also so many other things you can do with like use the world around and make 3D on the screen.

good video game for children. entertaining and educational

Love it for what I got it for. But I needs some software updates to make the Internet browsing better and to make a not so kiddy version. But it is still a great device.

My review is short & sweet as my 5 y/o doesn't let me use 3ds XL much. Best temporary babysitter for car rides, doc visits etc. Screen size was well worth upgrade from either DSL or 3ds. Picture program pre-installed is entertaining. Battery life is not as good as DSL but decent. Having 3D on or off didn't affect batter life. Wifi/ parental controls are easy to setup & a must for children as you have access to eshop.

Nintendo has done it again with the 3DS XL. It is great.

I purchased this item as a replacement for the one I bought my son about a year ago (should have taken out the extended warranty against accidents). I personally could have waited until Nintendo came out with a product with more advancements than its predecessor products... as my son still retains all of them (DSi XL, DSi, DS, Game Advance, etc...). But I broke down and purchased this unit, and of course a slew of games specifically designed for it (3DS games). The WiFi security options were not compatible with my WiFi AP. There were ways around getting it to connect though, just not with the security options that I really desired. Despite my personal gripes on the unit, my son loves playing it for hours on end. He does not use the 3D functionality much because he complains that it "hurts his eyes & head", but loves the games that are out for it. From my personal preference, I would recommend waiting for Nintendo to come out with another generation product that has more than just 1 or 2 improvements from its predecessor unit. From the perspective of my teenage autistic child, and the joy it has brought him, I would surely recommend the purchase.
