We purchased the for my son's sixth birthday and he truly enjoyed it. The set up is easy and my son can navigate through the screens with ease as well. There was no training him, he just put his game in and off he went. The Best Buy we bought this from has been extrememly helpful. YOU MUST GET THE GEEK SQUAD protection if you purchase this for a younger child. Best Buy bends over backwards to help you either way, but this makes things easier on you in the end. No - I do not work for Best Buy.

After having all of the hand held devices, this one seemed to be the best. It was recommended to my daughter and I recommend to others.

This is a great device to play games 2D and 3D. Have great games, and is possible play the games from Nintendo DS. So have a lot of game to play

The big screen is a huge step up. The only complaint I have is the idle battery drain, it depletes way too fast. For example the original ds I could closer the lid and open it a few days later to continue, this one doesn't last the night. But really overall it is a worthy upgrade.

I have nothing but good to say about Nintendo products.

We purchased this for my son for his pre-school graduation and he loves it. He is very adept at the Lego games and the battery life is great.

My nine year old son has been pining for this particular item for a few months, and we finally decided to give it to him as a gift (and replace his Nintendo DS Lite). He was thrilled and has been raving about the 3D feature, how it looks like a "mini Wii" and how much more fun it is. It officially made us the "best parents in the whole wide world". As a mom, I have set ground rules for the use of the device (time limits, furn off 3D for a while, etc.), but feel very please with the quality of the product and it's entertainment value.

My daughter LOVES this thing!! She had the older version, which eventually went bad, so we upgraded to this unit. She absolutely LOVES it!!

I purchased the Nintendo - 3DS XL for my son under duress, he has gone through so many portable game machines that kept his interest at most a week that I didn't want to waist another dime. We bought a few games and to my surprise he can't put it down. This machine is what every parent needs, it's rugged, functions better than advertised, and reasonably priced, now my only problem is getting him to put it down.

The 3DSxl was the right choice debated between the XL and the smaller version but decided to go with the XL and made the right choice

I love the size of the screen. It's easy to hold and the games are fun. You don't even need to buy a game to have fun with the system!

Bought 3ds so I can enjoy zelda and later on the release of smash bros. XL is the perefect fit for me. Big screen and feels nice on hand

I bought this for my 7 y.o. daughter, and she loves it. She takes it everywhere we go playing Pokemon.

Gave my old 3ds to my daughter, played it two weeks later and realized the screen size really does make a huge difference! pun intented!

Bought as Christmas gift and he has played with it non stop ever since! Happy parent :)

This is a great handheld gaming system. Battery life is good, and it is a lot of fun to play.

It is truly amazing what is loaded into this little gem -- fits in everywhere -- easy to whip out wherever you are (and when bored).
