Our leather straps are made from minimally treated, vegetable tanned leather from one of America's oldest tanneries, Horween, located in Chicago. Brand new unused and minimally treated leather can be stiff at first, but it is designed to beautifully patina with time, creating a handsome, rich leather strap with a look that is uniquely yours. Within one month of having it, the leather started coming apart and it began to fade. He has another band he switches off with to workout with, and barely wore this band. Tried to take it back to Best Buy but since they only have a 15 day return policy (so lame), they couldn’t do anything. Very upset with the Nomad company for making such a poorly made product, and upset with Best Buy for selling it and not taking care of their customer’s needs and returning it. I won’t ever be buying from this company again and will think twice next time before I purchase anything from Best Buy.

While all leather products are prone to wear, it is not normal for the leather to be coming apart as you have described. It is possible that you received a defective item from our warehouse.
