Powerful, quiet and awesome looking!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an EVGA GTX 970 SSC there is a huge difference. I was unable to max out Tomb Raider before on my 144hz 1080p but this card I now have everything maxed and above 60fps. Even with the fan speed at high I barely here it. Keeps the hot air out of my case. I always liked the reference look. The big green glowing Geforce GTX on the side really looks nice. And at stock speed without overclocking I always stay above 1800mhz core clock.

Sweet card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cards blaze! They have a low tdp so they conserve energy which saves $. I also like/prefer the airflow on the FE cards. Intake from the side and vents out the front.

At the MSRP, amazing value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While other cards may be a better value, this one's performance is nothing to scoff at. While 4K is an option, this is a 1080 and 1440p card. Most games can run 1080p max settings at higher than 60fps. 2016's Doom maxed out at 1080p only used 30-60% of the card's power. Some games, such as ones with Nvidia effects may be more of a challenge to get at 60, but down a few settings, and you're golden.

Nvidia gets it right again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just picked up the 1070 to replace the 970 that I have been using the past few years - the founders edition card is great. Great balance of power usage and performance.

Wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is intense. The 1070 is the new king for this pricepoint, without question. This is a reference design and as such it does run hotter than I would like. However it still does the job and looks really good. Would likely tell someone to go get an aftermarket cooler, unless you want to SLI these. **PROS -FAST, High framerates on 1080p with everything as high as it can go. This is the perfect card for 1440p@60hz - And a great card for 1080p@144hz, assuming you want to max everything as high as you can -Looks really good -Relatively quiet **CONS -Backplate is plastic. Kinda makes it feel cheap..but its a GPU you won't be touching it often -Mishmash of connectors. Basically one of everything. -Runs a bit hot - I chalk this up to the reference design

Excellent card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic card. Can max out most games easily. I never knew the performance difference coming from only AMD cards. I would recommend this card to anyone.

Great Video Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Card installed easily and works well for routine computer use and intensive photographic processing including Photoshop work. The only drawback is that the card requires 2 slots and on my PC an upgraded power supply.

Powerhouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My trusty Dell XPS is getting up there in years so I look for affordable ways to extend it's life. It's an older Quad Core so I rely on the video card to do the work. The GTX660 3 Gig of RAM was a real workhorse but was becoming dated, so I bought this one for the 8 Gig of RAM and solid Nvidea technology. This card should get me another 3 or 4 years out of the old computer. That made the sticker shock feel less painful. VERY IMPORTANT - this is a full sized card that requires AT LEAST a 500W power supply with an available 8-pin connector. That surprised me as I had to locate an adapter that enable turning two spare 4 pins into an 8 pin for this card. The old card used a 6 pin for power and the 750W PS didn't have an available 8 Pin. Geek Squad doesn't carry the adapter but I found one at a local "Build your own" shop. It's a StarTech LP4PCIEX8ADP - 6" LP4 to 8 Pin Express Video Card Power Adapter and can be had just about anywhere on-line for around $8. The 1070 is awesome ... even better is Ghost Recon came with it so that eased the sticker shock. All my games look and play better now and there are less crashes with highest settings. This isn't top of the line but darn close. It's up to you if top of the line is worth the added $ hundreds. I'm very happy with it. Very happy.

Best GPU I've tried so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gpu blew my old one out of the water by a land slide. When you are running any game you are able to run it 1080p and all the settings on max with having to worry about the lag or choppiness. As soon as you install this bad boy you're ready to go and play games like you've never been able to do before. It is also VR ready as well as you can do a 3 way SLI with it.

Waited too long.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This video card is a big upgrade from the GTX 660 that it replaced. Installed easily since nvidia software and drivers were already in place. Seems to be very quiet and the backplane gives great support of the card. My only regret was I waited too long and then the miners caused the prices to skyrocket. Finally becoming reasonable again.

Went from gigabyte 780 card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much needed upgrade from 780, about a 50% improvement in performance in my view. Runs pretty cool, haven't stressed it with any bleeding edge games yet. I couldn't justify a 1080 model for another $200. Was thinking of going with an ATI/AMD card like a 490 but they seem to run hot, loud and slower than nvidias. But to be fair i've not seen a 490 running.

well worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the 1070 has been flawless with gaming, graphics are stunning and well worth the price. although I would have liked a 1080, the 1070 was a little bit cheaper and still worth getting.I was using a gtx 960, and now with the 1070 I see even better graphics and speed in gaming, and visuals in games on ultra setting with no stuttering or screen tearing.

Great card for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great graphics card. I do not need the full potential of the 1080 but would like a card for gaming, rendering and VR. For the price, even as card prices are beginning to fall, due to crypto-coin mining; at $399 as of early July 2108 it is a good purchase. Founder Editions usually hold their value as well.

VR BEAST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooked this up into my xps 8700 and was worried my pc was a little too old to work but I was happily wrong. This thing does everything I need and more, not just vr but regular games on ultra settings as well! I’m not a huge frames per second guy so I’m not 100% sure but I haven’t seen any drops so far either.

Magnificent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess in general this was a HUGE upgrade, BUT the Graphics Card was affordable considering it is top of the line. It runs everything I need it to and it runs them well. Very smooth and clear. Any graphically intense games there are, this will power through it without issue. Overwatch, World of Warcraft, CS:GO and much more.

Medium price for MAXIMUM POWER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright, although it's not MAXIMUM POWER! it's still pretty darn powerful, and the it's price is pretty reasonable. Not much else to say. Oh, and protip, if this card's fan ends up spinning really fast + loud, and your screen turns black, make sure you've plugged in the PCI-E cable all the way in/at all, learned that the hard way.

This card chews through everything I throw at it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GeForce GTX 1070 is worth every penny. I moved up from a Geforce 970 and the increase in performance is great

A good video card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can get this for retail or lower, it is worth the money. Its not as overclockable as the other NVIDA cards but will offer good performance and be viable for a while longer. Just make sure your power supply has the hookup for 6+2 PCIE and has 200 watts of room on the rating compared to draw.
