    Oculus Go is Great!

I really enjoy the freedom of not having a computer or phone to use VR. It doesn't get hot and the operation is very smooth. I only wish that the the battery life was just a bit longer. You also need to be seated to keep from having problems as there is no "see through" capability. Lastly, I am looking forward to more intensive games/apps.

This is not a "put your cell phone in" demo that we have seen flood the market. This is the first true VR hardware and marketplace in an affordable consumer application. it reminds me of the original iphone or the first android. you can see the potential. the games are fun and can really absorb you, but the social interaction with other people is amazing, If V1 of these goggles is this good than i cant wait for v5.....

This is an awesome device for the price, especially if you are not a professional gamer and want to experience the fun of it without going to extremes. No cell phone, computer, camera... necessary. You just have to download the app on your cell phone and open an account then you are good to go! The only problem is the short battery life (2 hr), which is not too bad because it makes you take a break!

    It's a fun toy

The standalone Oculus Go is a lot more convenient to use than the Gear VR, where you have to take your phone out of its case and clean the screen and insert it into the headset without getting fingerprints on it. I can also comfortably use it while wearing my glasses, which was not possible with the GearVR, although since the GearVR had a focus adjustment, I was able to use it without glasses. I have to wear my glasses or contacts to use the Go - unless I decide to buy the optional custom prescription lenses for it. It's nice that it doesn't shut down from overheating and it doesn't seem to crash often like the GearVR apps did last time I tried it. The picture quality is slightly better than the GearVR, but I wouldn't say it's great. Small details and text are pretty fuzzy, and there definitely a visible "screen door effect". The controller works pretty well, although the scrolling is a little touchy. It doesn't have the positional tracking like the full Oculus Rift controllers, but it seems to work well enough with just the rotational sensors. As far as content goes, it's kind of fun to be able to watch Netflix on a huge virtual screen. I've found a few games that are ok. Viewing 360 photos and videos is pretty cool. Overall, it's seems like a fun new toy now, but I don't know how much I'll be using it after the novelty has worn off.

Only wanted this VR for vr videos...no gaming. Was recommended this one for my usage. I am satisfied with everything except the clarity. There is no adjustment dial/button as I was told the previous model had. And as I had read in other reviews, the battery charge doesn't last long enough. Has to be charged after every use.

Picked up a few weeks ago for my son and he absolutely loves this thing. The hardware is great. It's minimalistic, clean and modern. Very compact and as a Rift owner, you immediately notice how free you feel with no cables attached to a PC. The velcro-like straps are vastly more comfortable than the Rift's similar velcro/rubber set-up and quick to get on. You need far less adjustment when changing users, which is a major downside to high-end VR like the Rift or HTC Vive. Removable facial insert for easy cleaning and ability to swap in a spacer for glasses or (soon) prescription lense overlays was so needed. (TIP: Don't toss the box it comes in. Flip over the top lid and place the bottom tray into it for a convenient holder - very thoughtful for them to include that detail!) Overall, I'm glad they kept the design and form factor of the Rift. Remember, your kids/grandkids will ridicule you for wearing these bulky abominations 15 years from now, so less is more until we're all wearing low-profile visors by 2030s!

I purchased the VR for my son since the quarantine started and we all love it, easy to use does not required you phone for usage and easy to setup... takes most stream services Netflix, Hulu and Prime and also have tons of free games and most of the games that needs purchasing they are not more then $10.00 a game...perfect for beginners...

This all-in-one VR headset provides the ultimate experience. For an entry-level device that doesn't require a separate computer, the Oculus Go provides an exceptional experience. There are many videos on YouTube to introduce you to the device and the best games and features it offers. With plenty of onboard memory and a comfortable fit, the Oculus Go is a great value!

Originally had the Samsung Gear VR. Wanted the immersive experience with Virtual Reality. The Occulus Go is great with much better resolution than the Gear VR. Whether its for gaming or exploring a new environment, this was an awesome experience.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this but it's pretty awesome! It's a stand alone product and pretty much just needs wifi to operate. There are tons of free things to do (ie: sit on the court watching a live Celtics game, fly with the blue Angels or go sky diving) and there are also things to pay for. I've only used the free stuff so far and I'm satisfied.

I wasn't able to try it out in the store, so I purchased it thinking I would just return it if it wasn't all that great. Endless to say, I kept it!!! It's really cool!! I use it for virtual 4K walking tours in Italy as I use the tredmill. The kids laugh, but I love it.

I was debating on either getting the Oculus Go or the latest version of the Samsung Gear VR. I had an older Gear VR and I wasn't too satisfied with it. I figured the Oculus Go would be a step up, and I was right. My experience on the Go has been a lot smoother and it is much more convenient to use. I highly recommend it.

For less than $200 this is a very impressive device. Picked one up as a gift for a family member and made the mistake of setting it up for him. Went back and bought a 2nd one to play together the next day. For casual VR enthusiasts or those who have never tried VR this is a perfect gift. The only drawback is the battery only lasts 2.5-3 hours while off the charge cable.
