Absolutely great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best piece of gaming equipment I own now. I have owned this for over a week now and it has been glued to my face. The tracking is great, the guardian system wow's all of my other VR friends who are tethered down, and the graphics are much better than what I thought they'd be. Now I did make some modifications to mine for comfort. I first got knuckle straps so that I can actually throw things and let go of the controller to make it more immersive. Second I got a soft leather VR COVER interface so that it doesn't soak up sweat and so it feels a lot better on my face and reduces the red cheek lines. Lastly I got a back strap padding because after about 2 hours, the strap and start to put pressure towards the back of the head. But with that pad and the interface leather padding, it's a completely different headset. I strongly recommend buying this over investing in a $1000+ PC and then having to buy the Rift S on the low end or Valve on the high end. My friend who has the Valve likes this headset better than his because of the wireless ability.

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many problems right from the start. After the first time we charged it and played with it couldn't shut off or charge paid a lot of money for it paid for all the games we use then we had to pay to ask for help from oculus support and they wanted more money for a solution to fix it i'm going to return it to best. Buy give me a new one or my money back plus the price of all the games

Not worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this product only last for six months!! Purchased this product in June of 2019 and it stopped working on November 2019. Purchased another warranty for $80 (thank God) because it stopped working again in May 2020. in just another SIX months. For $400 this should last for more then six months. and with every return/exchange I have to pay another $80 for a warranty. Ridiculous !!

Fun, Fun, and more Fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Believe it or not I’m not a big time gamer. But I do like to explore things that I normally don’t have easy access to. Did a search on Google to find out more about the headset. Found a Mashable blog that provides several non gaming apps to try. One is Apollo 11 which recreates the mission to the moon. Another one is Ocean Rift which explores underwater habitats. The county library system where I live hired someone to handle Oculus VR. I met him at a technology showcase that was held at one library. Later I found out I can sign up for a free 30 minute session to learn more about VR. Looking foward to learning more about this exciting technology.

Save your money.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Total let down. Headset is uncomfortable. Only works well while sitting in an upright position. Software included is very basic. As a beginner into VR was expecting so much more.

Oculus Quest is straight-up magic
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: if you've got experience with VR's more popular titles and are hoping for a large library of awesome content, wait a bit and come back. If you're new to VR and will be able to stay entertained on a deeply immersive experience across a few titles (for now), literally run as fast as you can to pick one of these up. Unboxing and setup: the unboxing and setup process is super slick and within 15 minutes you're in a virtual world that's as surprising as it is interactive. The headset is comfortable as well as the controllers, and there's minimal fuss required (even if you wear glasses!) to get a comfortable fit. Unlike some of the early VR "headsets" that utilize your smartphone, the Quest is standalone, comes with two smart controllers which allow you to directly interface with objects in the game in a natural way, and is not vertigo/headache inducing. I was able to play for an hour without wanting to take a break. The audio is plenty loud and immersive without requiring earbuds or other isolating mechanisms. A decently sized play area is required if you want the full "holodeck" experience - but I was able to play in about 4x4 without much problem. The headset has externally facing cameras that you use to draw a "guardian boundary" around yourself which shows up as a protective grid to prevent you from accidentally deshelving the contents of your desk. The controllers are both comfortable and touch-sensitive - meaning the buttons know if your finger is on the button, not just pressing the button... so you can create a wide array of mostly natural gestures to interact with in-game objects. You can naturally throw in-game objects and several of the demo games shine while showcasing this natural interactivity. The game library is not as comprehensive as I would like and it's missing several titles that I would have expected would be straight ports... however, that's just a matter of waiting. The tools are all right here... the demos showcase the experience really well... and there's very minimal "clunkiness". If you're a VR newbie or had lesser VR experiences in the past - the whole Oculus Quest experience is nothing short of straight-up magic. Now we just have to wait for the game library to catch up.

Been waiting years for this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Years ago, I tried a VIVE vr headset at a convention. The game was Space Pirate trainer. It was so much fun but I kept tripping over the wire connected to the PC. Since then, I decided I wait for a vr headset with no wires. HTC does have a wireless adapter but that itself costs 200 or 300 (cant recall) When oculus announced the Quest, I didn't pay much attention until I saw the reviews. I tried to buy one and no stores has them, not even online. Then, while on vacation, I drove by a best buy and checked online and it turns out they had 1 unit available! Picked it up immediately and went back to the hotel. Setting up is extremely easy, although I had problems at first since the hotel wifi requires login, I ended up using the Hotspot on my phone. First thing I tried was Space Pirate and it was the exact same thing I recall playing on the $500+ Vive a couple of years back. Vader Inmortal was great, although short but is ok. Also tried the Rollercoaster game but got sooo sick, I'll try it again later. The only thing I don't like is the high price of games. Looking at the games under Rift, some of the prices are lower. I think I'll wait for some game sales, because paying 30 bucks a game seems steep Otherwise I love this thing
