The Occulus Rift VR Headset with the Touch Controllers make for a very unique experience that you can have in your own home. The technology here is simply amazing. I was even more amazed at the free games that came with it being actually interesting. This was a great buy, especially because my family can enjoy it as well. The only downside is that many of the higher quality games must be purchased and many go for $40.

If you haven't tried VR yet and you have the specs to do so, just do it. It's unlike anything else and its just incredibly immersive. Sure 1st Gen VR headsets aren't the best in terms of resolution but you don't even notice when you're involved in whatever you're playing.

Got mine during Black Friday sale for $350 which I could not pass up. The VR experience is awesome and great quality feel on parts. Easy to install and start having fun in less then an hour.

I got it for racing sims.Great immersion, poor graphics compared to triple screens in 1080p.

Bought this around christmas for my spouse. He is absolutely enamored with it and I can see why. Definitely a great buy for those whom love video games. He diiiiid mention getting an extra sensor is really a good idea though for tracking, hence the 4. :)

I didn't really know what to expect before I purchased. I had done some other minor VR tutorials like for my job and also at the NFL combine fan experience. But the quality was terrible with both of those, so I really didn't have high expectations. The Oculus Rift blew me away. It's crazy how immersive it is and how real things seem while you are using it. I haven't had time to really play many games, but I plan on trying some more out in the near future. I've only tried the free ones so far. The tutorial when you first set it up really blew me away, and that probably isn't even half as good as some of the other games out there. You do get sweaty playing, or at least I did and the lenses will likely fog up a bit, but it was definitely worth it. My only complaint. I visited the website to buy a compatible PC that was VR ready, and I chose the Cybertron PC they had listed, and when I put on the VR headset, it says my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Which is kind of annoying seeing how their website took me straight to that computer. Disappointing that I feel like I already have to upgrade, which I wanted to avoid because I already have another Cybertron PC but I would have spent more upgrading it than I would if I just bought this computer. With that being said, it still seems to work fine, I haven't experienced any issues, but I also haven't played some of the better games yet, so the jury is still out on that. Regardless, the Oculus itself is pretty amazing and the graphic quality is pretty outstanding.

We purchased this for our teenage son after experiencing a new VR ride at one of the popular theme parks. The whole experience (graphics, interface, 360 degree view/motion, etc.). is extremely satisfying and rivals what we experienced at the theme park. I was initially concerned about safety since you can't see your real-world surroundings while playing, but there is a feature that lets the user set play area boundaries to keep them from running into walls or tripping over items. It was the first thing I tested and it seems to work well. The system is well put together, light, and easy to install and use. I would typically balk at paying so much for a gaming system but this feels like money well spent.

Oculus is my first step to PC VR experience. I use it for my flight simulator. The experience is great. It was very easy to setup. However it is not a perfect product. The resolution is not quite there yet and there is a screen door look to it. Otherwise very good start.

The Oculus is worth every penny. Buy one. You will not be disappointed. No review can honestly describe what playing in VR is. You have to do it to know really. I was skeptical about VR for a long time. Then I tried it and was blown away. Then, I set my Oculus up, plugged in my wheel and pedals, and starting playing Project Cars and iRacing. My mind was beyond blown! As someone who races and tracks cars, nothing else comes as close to being on a race track! It's amazing! Oh, and non-racing games are excellent too. Buy one and enjoy VR! It's worth it and then some.

Purchased to show 3D models of projects. Works great as a display - games were a great bonus. Much more interactive than your standard video games - most of them you will work up a sweat.

There is a couple aesthetic changes I would make to the headphones and head straps but definitely not a deal breaker. I got one and the left eye/screen stopped working after a week but Best buy was awesome and exchanged it. (Oculus customer support it definitely horrible. Worst customer service I've ever seen with any electronic/retail company I've ever seen) however Best buy was great. Headset #2 though has been great. No issues. Comfortable easy set up. Make sure you have plenty of space. I do recommend a third sensor but not a must but it does make a difference in tracking. Game library leaves a little to be desired but that's a side note. I'm picky about games because I thrive on realism and allot of games are supper corny to look at. There are some great games though and anyone shouldn't have trouble finding something to play. Overall I'm pleased

I purchased the VR system after trying out a commercial VR Vive experience. I was surprised at the amount of fun, and the amount of work I did while playing the games. The cost was a little overwhelming, because you have basically buy a thousand dollar tower to go with it. I am not a gamer, and didn't want a new gaming system in my house, but despite those issues (cost, and anti-gaming history) I thought it would be a good investment. I justified the cost by comparing it to a gym membership for my family. I also got some help with it for Christmas. So far we are having a blast. I look forward to my workouts every day. We do sort of compete for time on the system in out 3 person household. My husband is a long time gamer, and my daughter is 11 and enjoying herself too. Our favorite games. Me, Boxing VR and Sword master. Best workouts. Sword master is very dangerous though. You need a big playing area, and will still occasionally punch a wall. I have the bruises to prove it. We are considering placing padding on the walls for when we ignore the barrier cues in the heat of the moment. I also punched the flat screen twice during Mage's Tale. We reset the boundaries. Husband loves Beat Saber, Skyrim, Mages Tale, Sword Master. Daughter loves the drawing apps, Minecraft, and Job Simulator. The reason I don't give 4 stars is that it is a fragile piece of equipment, that is used in a very rough way. Even before we started the more physical games, we had twisted the head cord and lost function of our headset. We had to return our unit for a new one. You can't just go out and buy replacement parts. To protect your investment from twists in the cord, stepping on and ripping cords from their seating; you have to invest in overhead suspension, high end extension cords. It would be nice to get what you need from the outside. Your eyes are useless to the outside world, so how can you not expect to step on the cord, twist the cord, etc. It would have been nice to not have to figure that part out with trial and error. It was so painful to have to wait for 2 weeks to get a new unit when we were already so dependant on it for relaxation and work out. We live in AK, and some days, you do not want to go outside. Now that we have our replacement, I am working out daily, and we have something that our kid likes, that is great bribe material to get her work done. Unfortunately, the husband has more games to get lost in. You win some and you lose some.

Bought it early because it was on sale. Amazing product had to convince my son we needed this. So real it is incredible

Oculus rift is an experience that should be seen by at least everyone once. It truly immerses you into worlds seen and unknown. Games like pavlov and contractors vr puts you in a military environment that is like call of duty or counter strike where weapon handling is needed to play. Games like skyrim vr and fallout vr show us potential to bring full console games and turn them into vr titles. Vr should be the next gen of gaming. Pros- oculus rift is only $349.99 compared to $499.99. The oculus comes with touch controllers, micro fiber cloth and built in headphones that are pretty decent. Games are fun. beat saber, creed 2, moss much more. Cons Can get motion sickness if you aren't used to it. Resolution could be better. Most games should be more like full games rather than long demos. THE WIRE CAN GET IN THE WAY.

I purchased the Oculus Rift and Touch for my son for 2017 Christmas it was the only gift he wanted. Best Buy priced matched the item for me so I didn't have to order it online and risk the porch thieves. Store personnel were friendly and helpful in this purchase. My son was over the moon with his gift.

The headset is well balanced. the entire setup is simple and it tracks well. I would recommend a third sensor however as the touch controllers lose tracking when turned around.
